Jordan arched an eyebrow when Pride was mentioned. She had seen it going on at home a few times but was confused as to what plants had to do with this. So she asked, "Is this a Gay-Straight Alliance?" Jordy had no problem if it was but she really wanted something that maybe had more of a focus because she wasn't the type to go out and yell about anything - whatever the cause. "Do you plant more than just flowers?" she added, hoping that maybe - just maybe they did because she really wanted to see where else she could take such a thing. |

Rose entered the hall with a spring in her step, her hair bouncing across her shoulders as she took in the Club Fair. She hadn't always been much for clubs - she'd thought about joining the Wild Patch when she'd first been sorted, but as it turned out, despite her floral name, she was an awful gardener. The Ravenclaw had taken many attempts in first year Herbology just trying to magically grow her pumpkin, and even once she'd succeeded, it was far from the biggest one there. A green thumb she did not have. It was more peach in colour. So, she chose to ignore it, opting to check out the other stalls instead. Brotherhood was an easy pass, because a-duh, but Rose did briefly stop by the Heta Omega stall, interested in checking out some of their events and actually getting to know more girls. "Hi, Isabella! She greeted the familiar girl from her house and their prefect meeting, before scrawling down her name on the sign up sheet. "Just going to put my name down right here - okay bye!" There was too much to do to stand around all day, and she was happier to just see what happened in the sisterhood over time through participation rather than just being told about it all at some stall. She moved on quickly, ignoring a few other stalls, with the Monthly being particularly crowded. Who knew people loved writing so much? What a chore. Eventually, she stopped by the one stall she was most interested to check out, and greeted her patrol partner brightly. "Bee! I like your stall." She complimented, certainly preferring it over many of the others, as eye-catching as the rainbows and glitter of the Wild Patch was, the SDA just looked cooler. "Where do I sign up? Can't say I'm the best at dueling but I can use one heck of a shielding charm." In all fairness, she'd never needed to use a combat spell outside of a classroom, ever, but now that she was a prefect maybe it'd be necessary. There was no telling what would happen if she tried to confiscate someones fanged frisbee and they got a little more than irked by it. |

Zennon listened to the cute guys explanation of what the brotherhood was and wondered for a moment if he might be tempting fate to join something like that. After all, he wasn't gay, so why put all that temptation in front of him. He looked back at the signup sheet. He wasn't really the kind of person who really talked about his personal life so he hoped that wasn't something that happened a lot in this group. "Okay, yeah, I guess. I mean if I don't like it, I can just leave right?" He asked as he signed his name beneath the others. He hoped that it wouldn't be as harrowing as he was thinking it might be. |

Lennon figured a boy like Asaiah would prefer to be in a club like the Brotherhood that attracted the likes of him, so he didn't consider the boy was trying to join the staff. At that moment Evelyn came up and asked if he needed help and he was grateful for the distraction from the Slytherin who was wasting his time and smiled as he replied, "Sure, I could always use help, thanks!" Just then Lilyanna came to help out too and he couldn't help but chuckle when she yelled over the James at the table beside them. He put his finger up over his mouth to signal for her to be a little quieter but smiled as he replied, "It's going well, you here to help?" He had no doubt Evelyn would help recruit more people to their table and even Lilyanna could be helpful compared to Sophie Wilson last year who, while Lennon did like the younger Ravenclaw girl very much, was not very approachable. Finally turning to Asaiah, the Ravenclaw boy sighed and asked, "What about the newspaper?," still not catching on to the idea of the Slytherin wanting to join. Speaking of last year, Lennon saw the same Slytherin who'd been with Merrill last year approach the table, and heard the comment the boy made. He wasn't entirely wrong; the Hogwarts Monthly table had become quite popular over the years and he saw a few other people approaching their table, so he hoped Evelyn or Lilyanna could help answer some of their questions while he was busy at the moment. He supposed popularity shouldn't be a bad thing for the sake of the paper, even if people like the two Slytherins in front of him only came to critique and not sign up. Lennon looked at the other boy and asked, "Thinking of joining this year?," if only to dismiss Asaiah's presence there further. Bee liked the way Geo's face lit up at the prospect of practicing together and felt a sense of accomplishment at having been a source of help for the girl's interest. "Of course!" she replied easily. "You wouldn't be able to use any spells I teach you during the tournament or you'd be disqualified," she said, "but I can still teach you some other tricks and tips to use," she added brightly. Just then Bee saw another girl approach the table, who ended up being Geo's friend and Bee smiled at the new arrival in greeting. "This is the Student Defense Association," she said proudly, gesturing to the display she had set up on the table. "This club is for students to practice their dueling skills in a safe, monitored environment and there's even a tournament each year with a winner from each grade level, except first years who are too young to duel," she explained excitedly. She was about to ask the other girl if she would like to sign up when Rose stopped by and Bee waved happily at her. "Hey, thanks!" she said to her patrol partner, liking the girl even more now that she wanted to sign up. Bee chuckled at Rose's comment and shrugged her shoulders as she said, "You'd be surprised at how far a strong shield charm can get you in the tournament," encouraging everyone's strengths. She gestured to the sign up sheet at the table and said, "Sign right up here!" Just in case Geo's friend needed more convincing to join, Bee decided to try and talk her club up more, a little loudly too in case anyone else was interested in signing up. "The SDA is one of the only clubs where you do more than make friends, you actually get to improve your skills and it puts everyone on equal playing fields, regardless of gender." Truthfully Bee liked being part of Heta Omega and having that safe space as a woman in this castle, but since gender seemed to be a topic of discussion at the club fair today, she decided to use the heated argument in her favor. Sara nodded as the older Gryffindor explained what the club was about and because she said it would improve her skills she was more interested by the minute. She watched as another student, who seemed to be the Gryffindor's friend, came over to sign up. Sara furrowed her eyebrows in concentration, as she decided whether she wanted to join the SDA or not. So when the Gryffindor Prefect finished speaking to Sara, she smiled widely at her and said simply, "Awesome! Sign me up." The club would give her something exciting and fun to do while at the same time being useful for the young Slytherin. It hadn't taken a lot of convincing for Sara to want to become part of the Student Defense Association. |

Asaiah chuckled when Lennon seemed to ignore his comment about being here for the newspaper only. He should have figured that the Ravenclaw was going to do this to him. He tapped his feet and waited for the Ravenclaw to be finished talking to the girls who had joined them. He was starting to get annoyed that Lennon let him wait this long for a reply so instead of saying what he wanted to say the moment Lennon turned back to him again, Asaiah said, ''You should really get over it, dude. It has been, what, two years now? I have tried apologising to your sister. If you want to hold me responsible for what happened, fine, but don't be such a f*cking shit about it still.'' He didn't care if there were other people around them since the whole school already knew that he was one of the three students that had broken into and completely trashed the Ravenclaw common room. ''I'm here to join the newspaper, by the way'' He told him after a deep breath, though doubted that Lennon would let him join the Hogwarts Monthly after this. |

"Great! Happy to help." Ainsley was pleased that Eleanor accepted her help, setting her baskets of fruit on the table next to the flower crowns. She had thought that she had emotionally prepared herself for just how busy the clubs fair would get, but before long they were swamped with people asking questions and with things to say. Not sure how best to answer people's questions, Ainsley left it to Eleanor, trusting the club president to know how to represent them properly. She stuck to her fruit, offering them to people who approached the stall. |

Acacia was still looking for ways to make friends in this new country, and joining a club seemed like the obvious best way to go about that. By the time she made it to the club fair it was already busy and loud, but the booths were easily labelled enough that she could tell which was which. Only one club actually stood up as seeming like it would be fun to join though, and so she approached the club that seemed to be all girls, giving the girls behind the table a friendly smile. "Hi! Is this like, a friendship club for girls kind of thing?" |

The most difficult thing about beginning her magical education, was having to give up the theatre. Domi could always keep practicing by herself, or put on shows with her friends once she made some, but she needed something to do, any kind of activity with a group or she would be stir-crazy within a week. That in mind, Domi made her way to the club fair, determined to find something to do. Looking around at the options... gardening was boring, newspapers were boring, duelling... could be promising, but Domi felt like she should leave it until she actually knew a few spells. That only really left one option. Making her way over to the club that just seemed to be for girls to hang out, Domi bumped slightly past another girl asking questions to introduce herself. "Hi! I'm Domi! Where do I sign up for the club?" |

Emilia was relieved to see her cousin Athena, and gave her a wide smile. "Yes, I want to join too! Especially if you are. Evelyn is in it, right?" She asked her cousin excitedly. "I'd love to join together." She waited now for her cousin to take the lead. As her cousin greeted another girl, Emilia just stood by and smiled shyly. She hoped they would get to sign up soon, and actually felt a little jealous Athena had already made friends. She wasn't surprised, as her cousin was a lot less shy than she was. |

Amber was glad Isabelle didn't mind her helping, and as Maddie wasn't here yet maybe she could use the help. A lot of girls seemed to want to sign up, and it was difficult to know where to start. Amber saw Isabelle help a young Gryffindor girl, so she focused on the others. "Hi, if you want to sign up you can sign up here." She said in the direction another Gryffindor girl and a quiet Hufflepuff, but they seemed to be chatting with another girl too and before she could answer two more girls asked to join. Amber focused on the Hufflepuff, as she noticed how the Slytherin bumped her out of the way slightly. She would have to wait. "That's pretty much exactly what it is." She said brightly. "Do you want to join? It's a lot of fun." |

Jacob listened to the explanation offered by the Wild Patch leader. It sounded really interesting, and he was glad she'd explained it all. As she offered him a flower crown, Jacob looked at it. It looked handmade but even so it was nice looking. Finally he reached a hand out slowly and took it. "Thanks" he murmured, holding it in front of him. Just as he was about to leave, one of the girls he'd met on the train stepped up and began asking questions about the club. Jacob stood in place, trying to seem like he was just glancing at the pamphlets on the table. He was mighty interested in hearing the answer though. The eleven year old twirled the crown around his wrist as he 'read' and listened. He still hadn't decided that he was one hundred percent joining this club. |

Geo clapped her hands together when Bee said she could show her some of the charms, not minding at all that she wouldn't be able to use them in the actual tournament. As she heard a voice beside her, she turned to see Sara, who also seemed interested in the club. If Sara joined, at least she could come up against her in the duels as they were in the same year, and she would have to be careful about her own competitive streak. It would be aweful if she was to accidently sent one of her own friends to the hospital wing. No, the full competition would have to be saved for Quidditch practise, and she would try to do her best in helping others defend themselves as much as she knew how. "This is going to be amazing" Geo added, watching the Slytherin sign up. Geo had had her name down for a year already, but she was keen to actually spend time with those involved. She nodded in agreement upon hearing that the club was equal regardless of gender, and Geo gave the Gryffindor such a look of admiration that only a few around the castle had ever received. Bee wasn't like James or Maddie, or most of her current friends, and she just loved her attitude. As much as she wanted to stay though, Geo did have one other club she wanted to join while she was here. It was because of Flavio that she'd heard of the Wild Patch club, and regrettably she excused herself from the SDA table, to sign up for the second club before they ran out of time. |

Diana knew the club she wanted to join, so she figured this would be easy. She'd pop in, sign up, and head back out. Rose was also a member of Heta Omega, though her sister talked more often about the stupid Wild Patch club instead. Diana figured she'd make friends fast in Heta Omega, which was something she needed. To her dismay, however, there seemed to be a whole gathering at the Heta Omega table. She counted at least five other first years trying to sign up. She scowled and stood next to Domi. "I hope this isn't going to take forever." She complained, probably loud enough for the older girls to hear. |
