Astronomy,4,5Michelle was really hoping her fourth years were enjoying the curriculum, and that it was interesting enough. But today she had something in store that even made her raise an eyebrow. She was sitting down at her desk, which was rather unusual taking into consideration she always had to be doing something. She was also, daydreaming, which had seemed to come almost quite natural lately, it almost seemed unnatural, but she wasn't using potions or elixirs to help her 'day dreaming'. Honest. She had almost forgotten about getting her lesson ready, so she stood up. Got all her notes prepared and then sat down at her desk and waited. When she heard people outside the door, she grinned at them all the and waited for them all to settle down. She then cleared her throat and began to speak. "Hello gang, today we're going to look at wormholes" She stated. "Now a wormhole is alleged to be the connector between a black hole and a white hole, and this is supposed to create time travel, now the only way this is possible in the magical world is by using a pensive and accessing memories, but even these are not actual solid places you can be, time travel is possible, but by going through a wormhole that cuts through time and space, when you enter a wormhole you go through a process called spaghettification, which is where your bodies are elongated to extremely lengths, probably meaning you would die before getting to the other side." She smiled. "There may be hidden shortcuts for space journeys that would be otherwise impossible for a human to ever complete in a lifetime. If you were to enter a wormhole you could travel to the destination it leads to much faster than the speed of light, which is excruciatingly fast." She stated. "Ahh! It appears we have run our of time, so if you could pack up your things and finish your notes, you may then leave." She smiled. "Remember to do the homework." She added. She too was going to back into her office and just make a hot cocoa and go to sleep, she was tired after that lecture and needed a break from the world. Homework: Roleplay the lesson, take some notes and write an essay about wormholes |

Flavio arrived to the astronomy tower and sat down in the front of the room, quickly retrieving his notebook and quill to write down everything the professor said. He was finding his fourth year of astronomy very interesting and could not wait to learn more. The subject of wormholes and the idea that they connected black holes and white holes together was no exception to this and Flavio alternated between taking notes and looking up to the professor so he did not miss anything. Time travel was an amazing concept that Flavio underlined in his notes, being sure to remind himself to read up on wormholes later to get a further in depth understanding of them. Flavio knew the speed of light was essentially one of the fastest things so he was surprised and intrigued when the professor explained spaghettification and the fact that wormholes could allow people to travel even faster than light. The entire lesson was honestly and completely intriguing to the ravenclaw, to the point he nearly pouted when the professor dismissed the class. He packed up his things and left the room, venturing to the library to read up on wormholes like he promised himself he would. |

Exams were looming and Amber was ready for this lesson in Astronomy so she could start studying properly. She assumed the last lesson of the semester would be to revise, as it usually was. She was nervous for the exams, if she was honest. The subjecs were getting harder and harder each year. Amber sighed softly as she took her seat at the front of the class and took out her notebook and quill for taking notes. Wormholes was an interesting subject she didn't know much about yet. She wrote down that a wormhole was a connector between a black hole and a white hole, though that wasn't proven. The idea that it could create time travel was both amazing and ridiculous. She stared at the professor in disbelief about the spaghettification. Surely that wasn't an official term. It sounded ridiculous. She still reluctantly wrote it down. The lesson was over before she knew it and she hoped she had taken enough notes. She yawned before getting up, wondering when she would have time to do the homework for this class. She was so tired now, maybe a nap first. |
