Make up lesson for Transfiguration 1:1
Luna walked into class after reading the professors note to take a seat. She noticed the beautiful husky dog, and wondered if this was part of a test. Was the professor waiting hidden somewhere and the dog what would that transform into. There had to be something interesting about to happen in her first transfiguration class. Suddenly, where the dog was the professor appeared "C'était magnifique, oh that was magnificent!". She sat up straight in her seat and listened intently as the professor explained their first lesson. She knew she was going to love transfiguration.

In greek mythology, there is a story about Daphne and Apollo. Apollo was pursuing her and just before being overtaken, Daphne pleaded to her father, the rivergod Ladon. So Ladon then transformed Daphne into a laurel tree.

1-5 Lesson One. Wilfred couldn't help but notice that the Transfiguration classroom lacked a professor, but there was a note left that instructed him on what to do, at least. There was a dog, though Wilfred wasn't familiar enough with any species to know its type, but it was definitely fluffy and looked well-kept. This being the Transfiguration classroom, there were really only two options – the professor had a pet, or the professor was the pet. Animagi were some of the best at transfiguration – it would be completely awesome to be taught by one.
The Hufflepuff was elated to find that the animagus theory was right – even though it would have been equally enjoyable to have the professor bring in an actual dog to have around. Wilfred immediately made a note to write to his Tata about this – he would surely get a kick out of it. He couldn't help but think that perhaps Professor Summers was talking down the abilities of the other subjects. Moving onto the vocabulary, Wilfred wrote down the terms used, and guesstimations of their meanings, with a few needing some updating when the professor went through them, and providing the given examples.
Writing down the homework, Wilfred left the classroom upon dismissal.
Lesson Two. Wilfred sat down beside Patrick for Transfiguration, giving his fellow Hufflepuff a warm smile. It was nice to be sharing a room with other Hufflepuffs – it made it a lot easier to keep up with friends. The Hufflepuff started wrting as soon as the lecture began, not entirely sure if he would be too interested in the ministry aspect of it, but he kew that he needed to write it to ensure he could look back on it. If he wasn't tested on it at school, his papi would certainly ask him about it when he got home, anyway. It was better safe than sorry.
Whilst there apparently weren't many magical restrictions on Transfiguration, there seemed to be plenty restrictions provided by the ministry, and he wrote them down as the professor mentioned them. Having inanimate to inanimate transfiguration being restricted, if not completely illegal, seemed rather bizarre and potentially difficult to enforce. There seemed to be quite a few ways to 'abuse' Transfiguration, as the professor said, and WIlfred added a few examples to his notes. When they were dismissed from the classroom, Wilfred packed up his belongings and left the classroom.
Lesson Three. It was another week of theory, and Wilfred took his seat beside Patrick, neglecting to take out his wand once more. It was important to learn the theory before getting to the practical, though that didn't stop the young Hufflepuff from wanting to immediately jump to casting some spells – it was only natural. He couldn't get there at his own pace, however – the professor was the only one that could move all this along, and so Wilfred took his notes and listened to the lecture provided.
Wilfred noted down the information on the board, not surprised at the seemingly consistent failure of the ministry to enforce the laws around Transfiguration – it would be difficult to control that. He did note down when he would learn apparition, however – that was cool. And far off. The first year sighed, accepting the fact that he would have to wait at least five years to even consider apparating by himself. Taking note of the homework, Wilfred packed up his things and left the classroom.
Homework Should there be more or less laws limiting transfiguration spells? Personally, I think there are enough laws (trying) to limit transfiguration spells. Transfiguration is a powerful branch of magic, and easily used for wrong things, but the laws that surround Transfiguration already are not completely enforced. Before implementing more laws, the ministry should work to try and keep these laws enforced successfully. Also, the laws surrounding inanimate to inanimate transfiguration, with using transfiguration to get muggle artefacts is probably a bit silly – what kind of artefacts are protected under this, and how easy would it be for a muggle or wizard/witch to get it through other ways? It also sounds pretty hard to enforce, and is probably the least dangerous when you think about the power of time travel and turning invisible. Lesson Four. Wilfred entered the Transfiguration classroom quietly, wondering if they would be needing their wands today, or if it would be as the previous weeks were. He gave a small smile to the professor as he sat down in his seat, pulling out his quill and ink when they were called for. The Hufflepuff was equally pleased to be pulling out his wand, which had been feeling slightly neglected during Transfiguration. Wilfred took down the advice given on using Transfiguration, making clean and clear notes on his parchment for later studying.
Wilfred mumbled the incantation under his breath, before writing it down on his parchment, making sure to add the three tap method – he was rather sure he saw it around home enough to not forget it, but he had never really been in an exam situation before, which was what he would be facing eventually. Best to take a note of it. It was then time for the practical – turning his quill into a spoon.
By the end of the lesson, Wilfred had used his tap thrice method and the incantation to transform his quill into a spoon, and it managed to be a rather decent spoon. Pleased with his work, he took his spoon to be returned to a quill, and left the classroom.
Lesson Five. The semester was quickly coming to an end, and Wilfred was very aware of it. He wasn’t entirely sure how he felt about the lessons ending, as it meant that exams were sure to come. After those exams, however,he would be able to go home. Wilfred sat down at his desk and looked at the jar on the professor’s desk when the professor started talking, and he shrugged at Patrick.
The professor stating that he wouldn’t be talking much today guaranteed that they would be doing some practical work (or had an unusually short lesson, both were acceptable). Apparently there were matches in the jar, and Wilfred quickly realised that they would be using these during some inanimate to inanimate magic – which was awesome. He was super excited for this. The Hufflepuff was quickly part of the line to get a march stick for himself, and sat back down after placing it on his table.
Turning a match stick into a needle was probably not something he’d need to do outside of school, but it was time to roll up his sleeves and get involved anyway. He mumbled the incantation under his breath and wrote it down before beginning. When he eventually left the classroom, he had managed to make a lovely needle from his matchstick, and had packed up his things to leave.
