Astronomy Professor 1-4
[ * * ]
Michelle was sitting on her chair sipping a cup of steaming coffee. She had already set out some telescopes all placed in their correct and designated direction so that the students would have an easier time in viewing later on in her lecture. She was looking forward in teaching fourth years because she prepared an exciting lessons for them this semester. She was sitting down, gazing at the moonlight for a couple of minutes. She has to admit that she was awfully exhausted and did not really feel well to the lesson but she wouldn't give up that easily. She gathered herself and cleared her throat. She heard the noises outside and she immediately waved her wand, letting her students in.

The students entered and sat down. Michelle patiently waited for them to settle down. She began speaking. "Now today we are just going to do some star gazing, nothing more nothing less, note down some interesting things that you see." She smiled. "Oh and I should mention whenever you need to focus something just tap your telescope three times and it should do the trick, no incantation needed, unless your focusing on another object." She smiled. "So what do you need to look out for this lesson? Well in this semester were going to be looking at phenomena such as nebulas, black holes and such, so if you can locate all the types of celestial bodies, it should be great." She grinned. "If you find all that you can - or want to - then you can just chat this lesson, as we are going to start the main lessons next meeting." She added.

She watched as the students were gazing, surprisingly no one needed and asked for her assistance. She just sat down and started reading a book which she always do at her free time. After about an hour, it was time for the class to be dismissed. It i was getting late after all. She collected all the telescopes with a waved of her wand and pronounced to the students "Class dismissed, no homework today." She gathered her things and returned to her office after closing the door.

Homework:
No homework, as said. Just RP and be creative.

Being a fourth year still felt really unreal to Amber, as she could so clearly remember looking at the fourth years when she was a first year and thinking they looked so old. It was odd to think they were now the students that were graduating this year. It was also odd to remember that for many classes, this would be the last year with their current professor. Astronomy was one of those, and she would miss Professor Castor as she'd been in the woman's class since her first year.

She was delighted to hear they would be stargazing during this lesson, as far as she could remember they had only done that before way back in first year and it had been quite fun. As much as she liked lectures, something practical was never bad. It was good to learn how to adjust the telescope with magic. She got to work, though it soon proved quite difficult to find anything with the telescope. She had a lot of fun trying, though, noting down anything she found that seemed even remotely interesting.

Part-Veela | Chaser | Hogwarts Monthly Writer & Assistant Editor | Heta Omega Secretary

[justify]The part-veela was a little disheartened by her grades, she had worked hard on them and yet hadn’t gotten anything higher than an EE. She had wondered if it was perhaps that she was doing more on top of it, but Noemie hadn’t spent much less time studying and she had done the exact same as before. The girl was beginning to think that she needed to start working hard, that she needed to get better at school. But, there was so much else she had to do, like quidditch or the monthly, two things she absolutely loved and couldn’t see herself being much without. They were both new things, but Noemie loved their polarity, she loved the feeling of flying, of getting better at playing and she loved writing horoscopes, and she knew her horoscopes were better than the ones done before her. The teen was just getting in from her usual morning run, there was no sense in not refocusing her routine, she would just have to spend longer studying that was all. The girl took a short shower and then got dressed. Putting her auburn hair into a bun rather than a ponytail. She put her things into her bag and left for the class. She just had to be better at everything.

Noemie walked into the astronomy classroom, and took her seat in the room. She was pretty sure it would be good fun. She had always enjoyed such things. Noemie was certainly eager to know what they would be doing. The ravenclaw looked at the professor as she began the class. They would always be doing something different in the class. This semester would be quite interesting especially if they did a lot of star gazing. She listened to the brief introduction that the professor gave before sitting down at one of the telescopes and looking through it at the stars. She liked this, this was nice. Her feelings towards astronomy remained fairly positive, she had no real complaints about it. Sure, yeah it wasn’t always the best class, but it was good. She plotted as many of the stars as she could before the time was up. It was great fun to her. It was more enjoyable than most of the first week back classes had been. She was pleased when the class wrapped up and she was just able to leave the room.

Sheltered and clueless | Chaser | Ollivanders Assistant

[justify]The idea of doing the work himself was so foreign to Rory, he wasn’t even sure where to begin, specifically when it was taking about school work. That was so entirely new to him. He knew the first week wouldn’t include much and it was unlikely to have much homework, but it didn’t make him feel any more confident about it. He was still sure that he’d cave and ask Flavio to do the work. He was determined to give it his best shot, but he hadn’t really ever been much of a do-er. The teen was however going to do his best, and this included spending a little less time just doing nothing. He would have as much time for quidditch because quidditch was the most important thing in his life, but he’d try to balance better, he’d make a solid attempt at it. The scottish boy put on his uniform, tied his tie and left the room, in his rucksack were his books, the few he might need and his quidditch gear. All this thought of doing better of not relying upon other made him think that he should reward himself with some flying. With that on his mind and his eagerness for that, he headed for the class.

This was the class that Rory was definitely going to drop the moment he could, there was no way he could be bothered doing more of it. The boy barely held back his annoyance at it as he walked in and took his seat within the room. The boy was sure they'd be doing something stupid, and sure enough they were, they would be watching the stars. God, this class was silly. They should do this more, but this was the first time in a long time. He listened to the brief lecture and instructions before getting up and finding someone to work with on the telescopes. It wouldn't take too long this sort of lesson, it was very much just a sit around and just wait for someone else to do the work. But that did go somewhat against his desire to do better in general, but as if he would do more than the necessary. He did sit and do a little bit of the work that he needed to do before he was able to pack up and leave the class. It had been a boring class but it was at least over for now and he was able to pack up his things and leave the class.

Astronomy was a subject that the brunette thought of as interesting and she wanted to learn more so she chose to follow it. It could be usefull she thought and it was just nice to look at from a far. As she entered the room she walked to her spot in the middle of the room and looked at the students around her. She never really paid attention before to her classmates and their faces so it was refreshing to look at them. She saw some Slytherin students, but also Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff. Evangeline thought Slytherins were the most worthy of getting along with if she needed to have a friend, what she really wanted at the moment. She made everything ready to take some notes and listened to Professor Castor as she started with the lesson. Just as with History of Magic it wasn't a really impressive lesson. Just a introduction of what they could expect and ofcourse that was handy, but Evangeline just wanted to get on with it. She couldn't wait to be a seventh year and leave the school and go on with her dreamjob. She writed down the things they were gonna learn and when the class was dismissed she left the room after getting all of her stuff.

Duckling • Ravenclaw Quidditch Captain & Chaser • 6th year • Gambol & Jape's Assistant

[justify]Flavio was tired after a long day but that did not deter his enthusiasm for attending his first astronomy class of the year. He had not previously payed much attention to the stars but wanted to know more about how the universe worked and was prepared to learn all he could in his classes. He showed up with his trusty notebook and saw Amber. He smiled and approached his friend before the class began and then he looked to the professor, nodding along to their explanation of the semester ahead. He could not wait to learn all about nebulas and black holes and celestial things in general so when the class was allowed to gaze through the telescopes provided, Flavio immediately got to action. He chose a telescope, looking into it as best he could before tapping it to allow it to focus. It took slightly longer for his own eyes to focus but he eventually managed to see properly and watched the stars above in awe.

Flavio was not sure of the signs he was supposed to look for in order to spot any nebulas but he was simply happy to look around at his leisure and experience what the class had to offer in his own time, without the pressure of looking for something specific on his shoulders. He continued gazing until the class was over, and then reluctantly left the room. His next astronomy lesson was sure to be amazing and he could not wait to see what it had in store.
