Astronomy Professor 1-4

Michelle was sitting at her desk patiently waiting for her students to come. The classroom was neat and tidy. She waved her wand. The shades went up, the moonlight shone in the classroom. Michelle loved that about astronomy. She spends her all morning sleeping and she spends her afternoon reading at her office and come to astronomy at night for her class. Michelle knew that most of the students were not happy about having a night class, especially at the astronomy tower. But for her studying during the day was just silly. Getting to her feet, Michelle walked around the classroom one last time to make sure that everything is fine and in place. When she heard noises outside, she waved her wand to let in her second-year students. "Welcome back for the start of another year of magic and of course a brand new year of Astronomy. I am sure all of you are wondering what it is we are going to be focusing on this year. Well, it's simple. This year it's all about stars. A life cycle of stars. So let's start off with something simple. What is a star? To put it simply, stars are those bright shiny things made of gas that is in the sky. Our sun is a star. There are billions of them in our universe. There is much more to stars than the points of light we see. It takes millions or even billions of years for that light to reach Earth. So essentially when we gaze at the stars we are seeing ancient objects." Michelle immediately lectured. Michelle checked the clock. it was almost time to dismiss her students. "Everyone come in next week ready to take some serious notes. Have a good evening students." Michelle smiled as she walked to the door and opened it for her students to leave. Once they were all gone, she waved her wand, shutting the blinds and she locked the door behind her. Homework: No homework today guys, just role play the lesson and take a few notes. I won't be piling on the homework this year. Except if you want some EC for this lesson you can role play messing around in the astronomy classroom, maybe with a friend. Remember to keep your topics in my office.Astronomy,2,1Astronomy,2,1Astronomy,2,1Astronomy,2,1Astronomy,2,1Astronomy,2,1Astronomy,2,1Astronomy,2,1Astronomy,2,1 |

The second year of school was beginning. Norton was so in awe of the fact he was back at school he didn’t even mind that he’d soon be up to his neck in work once more, he was back at HOGWARTS, he was back where everything made more sense to him. He had thoroughly enjoyed his break, having Min meet his family, his sister, his father, meeting all of her family, spending time together had been great and now he was back at school. He was back where he could wave his wand and do fancy things with it. At home or really anywhere but school, he could do no such things, which had been depressing to him, but at the very least now he was back and he could learn even more magic. He was looking forward to it. Not just because he would be doing more spells but because in general, being back at school was so exciting for him. He loved school. Okay, he didn’t love all the classes, but he was happy in general to be back at the classes, and excited to be getting started. He took the final few books that he would need and headed off to the class. He was excited to see Min, he was excited for everything this year would bring. Norton walked into the astronomy classroom, extremely out of breath from walking up all the stairs. The young hufflepuff sat down in the room. Happy for the opportunity to just take a seat and be able to relax for a bit before the class actually got underway. By the time all the others in the class had arrived the professor began the class. He took out his notes and was ready to get started. He hoped they'd do a little more than just a re-introduction, and the boy was happy about this lesson. He listened as the professor told them they would be covering the stars. The stars were amazing. The boy wrote down the few other things that the woman was saying, but with that the lesson was over. He was happy that they didn't have any work for the day. Nortie put all the books into his bag and left the room. He didn't like walking so far out nor did he particularly like having to be up in classes so late. |

April wasn't a big fan of Astronomy. She hated sitting still for lectures and that seemed to be all this class ever was, except for that one time they got to stargaze at night. She didn't like it, and she didn't think she really cared about the stars and whatnot. Still, it was a lesson on her schedule and she could hardly just skip it completely. She pouted as she took her seat and didn't see anything to indicate they would be doing anything other than listening to a long and boring lecture. She rested her chin on her hand as she watched the professor talk at them, barely registering anything she said. It was about stars, and April should be more excited because she liked stars! Her favorite clothes had stars on them and she used a lot of star shaped stickers, but those were more interesting in her eyes than the actual ones in the sky. They were just far away and unimportant as far as her life went. The lesson didn't last too long, but she groaned audibly when the professor told them to be prepared to take 'serious' notes next lesson. Maybe she could pretend to be sick But with a father as a professor at the school, she wouldn't be able to get away for it for even a second. She sighed, hoping she would come up with a good plan before next week. She followed her friend Norton out of the classroom, catching up with him so they could chat. |

Marcos was happy he’d managed to pull back a few of his grades from the last semester, it hadn’t been great, nothing like his sister and his brother, but he was pretty happy about it regardless. The young gryffindor had been rather happy to e back at school, there were so many things he was eager to do within the school. So many classes that he was ready for. He was eager to learn more, and was sure that when he was finally in potions this year, that they would do more than sit around. The chilean boy was putting his things together. Even though he’d only been back a few days, Marcos had not taken great care of his things and everything was already in such a mess. He sighed slightly as he shifted through his things to find what he would need for the day, the right books, his wand, the bits of parchment. When he was all ready, the boy told Gabriel he’d save him a seat in the class and then wandered off. He had planned to get a little breakfast before he headed to the class, which was exactly what he did. Marcos walked up the many steps to the astronomy room and walked into the classroom. The boy had quite enjoyed it in the last semester, and so he was quite eager for what they might cover in this semester too. The gryffindor took a seat in the classroom and smiled at the professor as the woman got started. The gryffindor hoped they would be doing something interesting. and knowing that they would be covering something like the stars. That would be a very interesting thing for him, he was looking forward to it. Marcos wrote down what the woman was saying about the stuff they would be learning. However, that was the end of the lesson. The gryffindor gathered up his things and put them into his bag. He thanked the professor as he walked out the room and went back to the dorm room. Kauri hated having a class at night. Couldn't stand it. He knew some people must really find it thrilling, getting to be out of their beds at night time, even if they had to study for it, but for Kauri the class couldn't be over soon enough. Stars were nice and all, he liked looking at them and learning about them, but Kauri had always adhered to a pretty strict bedtime, and this entire subject seemed designed to disrupt that. Yawning as he made his way into the classroom, Kauri plopped down in a seat behind April, hoping that being able to see a friend would be enough to help keep him awake. His quill marks were sloppy, and ink splattered all over the paper as he scribbled down his notes, but at least they were mostly readable. It sounded like the topic they were covering would be at least a little interesting, but with his eyes drifting closed at the end of the lesson, Kauri couldn't quite tell if he would manage to be awake for the next lesson. Feeling like a zombie, he packed his things back up and lumbered out of the room, yawning and rubbing his eyes as he headed back to his bed, desperate to sleep. |

Astronomy was the most boring subject ever, it wasn't magical nor interesting at all. He came here for magic, not to learn were some stars were. Perry yawned and stepped into the classroom he wanted it to get over soon. The classroom looked nice illuminated in the moonlight. It still was relatively boring and Perry almost fell asleep in the chair. He took out a pen and paper, after a year he still wasn't used to a feather. When the lesson started he started to yawn more, but tried to write his notes about stars. Stars weren't an amusing subject somehow, they were just there. He scribbled some notes and waited for the Professor to stop talking. At the end he waited for the others to go and stepped to a telescope. His dad had gotten him one for his tenth birthday, but Perry didn't care about it that much. He knew how it worked and that was all that he needed. From the tower you could see a lot of stars easily and Perry started to peek through. He knew some constellations, but he had no clue which was which. When he finished he left the classroom, finally going to bed. |
