Approaching her Class she could hear the buzz from behind the door, reaching for the handle she opened it to see her students 'Please be Seated everyone and Welcome to Fifth year Transfiguration.' Walking down the middle of the class Professor Frost stepped up onto the raised area where her Desk was and turned around leaning against her desk she began the Lesson.

'This term we are going to be learning all about Vanishing, specifically using evanesco When making something Vanish they are not moved into another room or made invisible they have Vanished.' Kida turned and drew her wand from her sleeve and pointed it behind her, a Chalk board wheeled itself forward and displayed was the spell Evanesco 'I want you all to Practice how to say this Spell, it will be Vital to Learning all about making various Objects Vanish, Say it with me, the word is Ev-an-ES-ko' Kida sounded out the word for her students 'Wands away, and together, Evanesco' she repeated listening to the student's speak together.

'Excellent, Now next lesson we will start with smaller objects and slowly make larger objects Vanish. Remember I want you to have it clear in your mind that I do infact mean Vanish, not moved, not hidden in your bag, not made invisible, not just really really small, Completely gone. It's vital to make object Vanish.' walking around her desk she sat down and looked up to her class again 'That is all or today, No homework, Next lesson we will try making an Eraser Vanish. Good Day Class.'

Leo had a plan in mind. He was going to impress his parents with good grades, because he didn't want to disappoint them further and make them feel as if he had no hope in the wizarding world and would therefore have to apply for a muggle job. That would be a waste of his education. Which was why Leo made the extra effort of getting up earlier in the morning, to be slightly earlier for lessons and to get ready on time. He arrived to Transfiguration, he was in fifth year now which meant many new professors, so as he entered the classroom he smiled at the new teacher in greeting before taking a seat. It was new and unusual for the Gryffindor to do this, but he took out his writing equipment as the lesson began and took down notes. He will have to get used to this. He repeated the spell with the rest of the class not finding it hard considering his mother tongue and packed away his belongings when they were dismissed. He thanked Professor Frost on his way out.

Abby took a seat in the Transfiguration classroom and didn't even bother taking her wand out. She knew that there was a small chance that they would be learning a spell, but she doubted that she was actually going to perform a spell today. She listened as Professor Frost began to explain the spell that they were going to be learning and practicing throughout likely the next week or so, and rolled her eyes when they were asked to say the word together. This was their fifth year, they knew how to pronounce spells by now, but she obliged the professor. When they were dismissed Abby headed off to the common room.

Lilyanna was excited to be back for another school year as always. Her holidays had gone well and she had even received a special present from Andrew which was a watch that worked without any sort of electricity. The more Lilyanna moved it about the more power it had in it and she couldn't be more delighted that she managed to be able to bring something so intriguing to Hogwarts. On top of that, Lilyanna had become a prefect and she couldn't be more proud of her efforts. It meant that people had to actually listen to her and the girl was looking forward to bossing around many of the new first years. The Slytherin packed all of her belongings in her bag and made her way to her first class of the year, wondering what exciting things they would be learning about for their OWLs.

When Lilyanna entered the Transfiguration classroom to find out that they would be learning a new spell for their very first lesson she rolled her eyes at the new professor. She hoped that not every lesson was going to involve that and reluctantly said the incantation aloud with the rest of the class. Luckily, they weren't going to be waving their wands until next lesson which just made her dread it. Throughout the rest of the lesson the fifth year took notes until the end of the class when she left and made her way to her next class, hoping it was better than this.

The newly appointed prefect was looking forward to this year, of course this was a very important year for her, but it was also a year that was better, no longer were they just fluffing and learning little bits they were learning what would be vital to the exams they would do. Of course everything before it would be useful but this was the important year, the one that helped decide her classes for the future. The one that would allow her to either go into what she wanted or for her to fail. She hadn’t entire decided what she wanted to do, but Sianna wasn’t going to take any chances on it. Not at all. The teen was getting ready for the day, she had her uniform on neatly and was pinning the badge to her chest and found herself smiling easily at it. It felt so good for her work to be recognised. It felt amazing to know that she had done well. The teen put what little items she would need on this first week of classes and left the dorm room. This would be a good year, she could feel it.

Sianna walked into the transfiguration classroom and took her seat in the room. She wondered what they would be doing during this class, in these OWLs. The girl was definitely keen to be able to get started. The teen looked to the professor as she got started. They would be learning about vanishing things, the girl sometimes wished she could make her brother disappear but for now she was just focusing on what the professor was saying. They obviously wouldn't be doing any of the spells in this lesson, but the girl was definitely keen to get started on what they would be doing. The teen was pretty excited about the fact they would be learning how to make things vanish. And though they weren't getting to do things in this lesson they would be able to pretty soon in the next lessons. She smiled to herself as the class was wrapped up. The girl was pleased with the lack of homework and she was able to leave the room and do something else. Sianna thanked the professor as she left the room.

Eleanor had always enjoyed coming to school to see her friends again and she couldn't be more delighted about seeing them and telling them everything about her holidays. Better yet, the new fifth year had become a prefect, much to her surprise, which meant she was positive that the upcoming year was going to be great for her. The girl had never even thought of becoming a prefect before and she wondered exactly why her head of house would want to pick her. She wasn't anything special at all and the thought of such a question pondered her as she collected everything she needed for her first day of classes and headed straight to her first class.

The Hufflepuff entered the Transfiguration classroom and took her usual seat as she waited for the lesson to begin. They had a new professor this semester and Ellie smiled at her, hoping to make a good first impression. They were going to be learning lots of new spells this year and Ellie made sure to write that down so she could prepare herself for it. When they were told to repeat the incantation aloud, Eleanor did so, wondering how they would get things back that had disappeared. This question pondered her for the rest of the lesson and when it ended, she thanked the professor before leaving, looking forward to making things disappear.

independent & distant | seventh year

Between being made prefect and his current relationship with Elysia, Zared was pretty happy about how things were turning out for him. He was happy he was actually not managing too badly despite how bad he thought he might. The teen was pretty sure that this would be the end of his accomplishments outside of his schooling, but he was still happy, he was still pleased with himself and what he had so far managed. The slytherin was getting ready for the day, since this was his owl year and he’d been pulling EEs in most of his subjects he knew he needed to up his game. He needed to make himself better. He needed to be better. The boy had a few years before he left school, but he knew to be able to get into certain NEWT classes he had to be good at his OWls. He had to do well, and so that was the plan of this year, and it would be helped with the new common room he had as a prefect and the fact he was in a stabler situation with Elysia. Overall, Zared felt confident that this year would be easier, and better.

Zared had been waiting for transfiguration, or any class to start teaching them non-verbal spells, but he knew he had a little to wait before that would be true. He had hopes of it in Transfiguration this year, he was hoping for a little of it, but he went into the room with his heart not really believing it. Everything else was fine about this year but perhaps this was the only thing that he knew he would continue to struggle with. Zared took his seat in the room as the professor began her lesson, he took out his books and listened as the professor did the thing so many of the professors did. Warn them about OWLs and how difficult they were, before then moving on to what they would actually be doing. Vanishing spells. he knew from the fact the professor began telling them how to say the spell that it wouldn't be a spell they could do silently. But it did seem like it would be an interesting spell, and he always liked the idea of making people disappear, or things disappear. So, he knew he would do a lot of reading just to be good at it. With that, the lesson was wrapped up, they'd get to practice it in the next week and that to him was just fine. He put his things in his bag and left the classroom.

Ares was excited for this semester for more than one reason, on the one hand getting the captain had been a great honour, he would’ve lived out his school years happy with Rueben keeping it, but he was so proud that he was it, and on the other, the grades he’d gotten during the semester had been better than his grades had been in a while, and boy was he happy about that. It filled him with vigour and enthusiasm for the semester that was in front of him. He just needed to put a little extra work in, and these OWLs might not be so hard. He might end up doing better than he’d been predicting himself to do. He was so surprised really that all it took was really applying himself and giving himself the time to learn everything. Taking his head out of fantasies and to the ground below him. Most would call him stupid and tell him such things were evident, but not to Ares, they hadn’t been to him. The hufflepuff had his quidditch gear in his bag as he put in what books he would need for the day. All in all, making sure he had everything before leaving for the class.

Ares found the practical elements of magic a lot easier than any other kind. Ares stepped into the transfiguration classroom and took a seat within the room. He was rather nervous about what they might end up learning during this semester, but he was really unsure of what that could be, he'd narrowed it down to vanishing things or making things appear. The teen smiled as he stepped into the room and took his spot in the room. He pulled out his books and lay his wand on the desk in front of him. This would probably not be a lesson in which they did any spells, just on the off chance that they did, he wanted it to sit at the table in front of him. As the professor got started, it did turn out they'd be doing the vanishing spell and he wondered why they would spend so much time on it, but perhaps it was quite a difficult spell to master. He figured that had to be why. The boy nodded to himself as the lesson was wrapped up and he was able to pack up his thing and leave the room.

Wyatt walked into Transfiguration - easily the class he struggled the most with - hoping that this year he would get the grades he needed to despite his lack of energy to even get out of bed. If he were really choosing ideal situations he wouldn't have to take such a ridiculous course but nothing about Hogwarts was ideal so he took his seat and it wasn't until the professor began to speak that he noticed it was a different professor. His face twisted a bit at the realization but he calmed himself quickly after and listened to her speak, admittedly unsure of what the professor's name was but for the most part he was uncaring. The OWLs were his focus, not sucking up like he knew some students would probably do. The boy gladly tucked his wand into his bag and repeated the incantation as directed, "Evanesko." He repeated it once more quietly just to be sure. He still didn't know what might happen if a spell was mispronounced and he didn't want to find out. Wands were dangerous tools that he knew after last year's DADA classes had to be feared and respected in equal amounts. Shortly thereafter the class was dismissed and Wyatt shuffled out quickly.

Octavian kept his wand in his pocket when he entered the classroom for the first lesson of Transfiguration, he doubted they would be performing any spells right away, more than likely just learning a new incantation. Octavian took his seat and waited for Professor Frost to begin. The Professor explained that they would be learning the vanishing spell and instructed them to repeat the incantation. Octavian did so, along with the rest of the students in the classroom. Octavian thought the spell would come in handy when it came to cleaning up, though he would perhaps need to find out how to get something back once it had been vanished. That was a question for another day, as once the class had mastered the incantation they were dismissed, so he grabbed his bag and left the classroom.

Diane was quite happy following her conversation with Lilyanna after the sorting feast. She was practically skipping as she made her way into the classroom for Transfiguration. She beamed at Professor Frost as she walked past her to take her seat. She listened as the Professor talked to them about the vanishing spell, it sounded like a really interesting spell though Diane wasn't sure how useful it was unless the items could be brought back. Along with the rest of the class she repeated the incantation aloud and took some notes. Once the lesson was over she put her notes and wand away, her wand having sat unused on her desk, and made her way out of the classroom.
