Thinking that it might help boost clubs if the tables were set up in the entrance hall just outside of the very popular Great Hall, Professor Kingsley did just that. She covered the long tables with a plain white tablecloth, which would allow clubs to attach whatever signs or banners they'd like, but which would also look nice should they not want to do so. Placing a small bowl of candies on each table to further entice students, Professor Kingsley took a final look around and smiled. Now, they just needed the club leaders standing behind them, ready to promote what their clubs had to offer. Professor Kingsley had been a member of Heta Omega herself, so she had a special connection to that group, but she knew that all of the clubs had something special to offer. Smiling at the students, the Gryffindor Head of House was prepared to help wherever she might be needed. [Hidden Content: Login/Register to View] |

Lennon felt that he was running late as he ran down from the newsroom with various old issues of the paper and supplies in his full arms, his camera swinging wildly over his shoulder. He wanted to adjust the strap and hitch it over his shoulder better so it wouldn't fall and break but he couldn't with his hands so full, so instead he just hurried down to the club fair, dropping everything unceremoniously on the first table he saw, placing his camera on top of the heap. Now that his hands were free, he was relieved to see he wasn't late at all and began to tidy up the table he claimed for the school paper. Lennon took out his wand and quickly wrote out "Hogwarts Monthly" in the air as ribbon shot out the tip of his wand and hovered above the table. He propped open the presentation board he'd made, with his and Caro's photographs of the past year plastered on it and clippings of some articles for quick reading. He also spread out full issues across the table for people to browse and take if they wanted and placed his camera on the table as a prop. Lastly he set up a blank parchment and quill for potential sign ups. Last year he had recruited some good members that worked hard and he hoped to continue to add to the growing staff. |

After a successful year last year with the Wild Patch Club, Eleanor was looking very forward to see what this year would bring. She made sure to go to the Club Fair on time, ready to promote her club to the school in hopes that new members would join. First years were her main target and she had successfully brought a lot of them to the club last year which would hopefully happen again this year too. A box of hand-made flower crowns was tucked neatly under her arm as she claimed a table and started placing them on it, as well as a pile of leaflets explaining what the club was about. With a wave of her wand, she drew on a large banner that she hovered behind her with 'The Wild Patch Club' written in big letters. She wanted to make a statement this year and figured that was the way to do it as she placed one of the flower crowns on her head and took her seat behind the table, ready to meet some new potential members. |

Nixon was excited to learn that there was a club fair in the school every year so on the day the fair was being held he ran from his common room to the entrance hall bursting with energy. He knew he wanted to join as many clubs as he could and make friends with everyone but he did not know where to start. He chose to begin at the table closest to him which happened to be a table advertising what he assumed was the school newspaper. Nixon had never thought about journalism nor believed he had an interest in it, though as he quietly browsed the displays with a smile on his face he warmed up to the idea. Eventually the Hufflepuff looked away from the photos and articles to the older boy at the table. He assumed this was the person that ran the paper and introduced himself happily. "Hello! My name is Nixon Mercury. Are you the person that runs the paper?" He asked, not waiting for confirmation before asking a multitude of other questions. "Is it fun? Do you get to go away from school to write articles? Is everyone that works in the paper friends with each other?" As he waited for a response he smiled, hoping that every answer was a yes so he could consider signing up. |

Lennon had only just settled in beside the table, tucking his wand in his pocket, when he saw someone approach the table. He let the younger boy browse the set up quietly on his own and didn't want to scare him away with his enthusiasm, so Lennon planned to hold back on talking to him first. But his reservation wasn't needed seeing as the boy was enthusiastic on his own, asking many questions at once which made Lennon chuckle. All Lennon had time to respond to was a small nod when the boy asked if he was in charge of the paper, and let him get his questions out before finally answering. "Hi Nixon, I'm Lennon, the editor of the school paper," he replied with an amused smile. "Being on the paper is so fun, you get to talk to so many people and do a story on whatever you'd like!" he began. The following two questions made him pause and he considered how to answer. "You know, we've never really gone anywhere else to write articles since we focus on school news, but that's an interesting idea, I should bring it up to the headmistress," he mused. "And of course we are all friends!" he declared, feeling pretty confident in the statement even if it wasn't as if they all hung out on their free time. The staff did spend a lot of their time in the newsroom working together though and were all friendly enough to greet each other in the corridors or in the great hall and that was better than other students could say so he considered that a success. "Good questions Nixon, you've got the makings of a journalist already," he said with a wink. "Would you like to know anything else?" he welcomed the inquisitive boy. |

As if being appointed prefect hadn't already been enough of a surprise to Bee, she hadn't expected to be made president of the Student Defense Association either! Though if she was being honest, being president of the SDA made a lot more sense to her than being made prefect because she had been the winner of her age group for two dueling competitions in a row now and she hoped to continue that streak. In the mean time, she had been told that her duties of being SDA president now included promoting the club at the Club Fair. Bee walked down to the Entrance Hall where it was taking place and was pretty inexperienced at this so she hadn't brought anything to decorate her table with. She wrote down "Student Defense Association" as largely as she could on spare parchment and taped it to the edge of the table and placed a single blank parchment for sign ups on top. She figured she could recruit in other ways. Bee stood up on the chair behind the table and yelled out, "If you like hexing people and dueling, sign up for the SDA here!!" |

Clubs interest him. It was one way he was able to make friends every time he transferred school. Hogwarts, here in New Zealand, shouldn't be no different. Regardless of his future being already made up for him, Ari went to the Club Fair to see what club he would like to be apart of. As he enter the entrance hall, climbing down the steps, he heard someone shout about hexing and dueling. To his amusement it so happen to be Bethany. "Hexing and duelling? Sounds kinda dangerous? Do they have safety padden just in case?" Ari jest not at all surprise to see her here. He pointed at her less appealing sign. SDA? He okay with duelling, he needed to get better. It's funny how that works out. He tap his lips, covering the growing smirk appearing on his face. "SDA, I really, really would like to know what that is." |

If Lenore had learned something in her relatively short life it was that it was worth joining a club. You could make the best friends and meet some new people. Lenore didn't want to join the defense or dueling clubs, she didn't like magic that much. She walked around trying to look at the various tables. Suddenly she saw a club that sparked her attention. It was called the wild patch club. Lenore loved nature and this sounded like something she would love. ''Hello, what do I need to do to you join the club?'' She hoped there was some stupid initiation ritual. Lenore looked at the leader of the club, she seemed like a really friendly girl. |

Jocelynn was passing through the Entrance Hall and noticed the signs and banners. While she wasn't sure what a club or any type of group like the ones around her were about she wandered over to a table where a girl had a flower crown on her head. "Wild Patch Club? Do you eat Sour Patch Kids?" Jocelynn asked the older student unsure what the club was about. She loved the flower crown on the girl's head and would like one for herself. But Jocelynn hadn't ever joined a club before, she didn't want to sign up for something she didn't really understand. Her camera however was in her hand and she snapped a picture of the table set up while she waited for the girl to respond. She could hear someone talking to the newspaper person and that also peeked her interest, she knew photographers were always needed for newspapers and she loved to take photos of different things. Another girl in her year was there also asking about the club, Jocelynn was determined to stick around here to hear about the Wild Patch club before moving over towards the Newspaper. The older boy nodded, then introduced himself as Lennon before describing what the paper did and answering all of the questions he was asked. Really the description of the paper being fun and an opportunity to talk to many new people would have been enough to convince Nixon to sign up and become part of it. Though the answers, too, confirmed that approaching that table first was a great idea and working on the school paper, despite not previously being an interest of his, would be a great fit for him. Nixon smiled brightly as Lennon asked if he wanted to know anything else, quickly saying "I just want to know where I can sign up!" As he looked away from Lennon, to the table. |

Izzy had arrived to the great hall bright and early, like she was used to when she had to attend events like these which required her to set up, so she smiled as she waited for her friend Maddie so they could try to convince people to join Heta Omega. Well, not so much people as girls. The French brunette had put a sign that clearly read HETA OMEGA SISTERHOOD in case there were members in the school that had never heard of it. Izzy watched as a few people, first years by the looks of it, arrived and looked around at the stalls. The Ravenclaw Prefect cupped her hands around her mouth, before shouting the following words. "If you're looking to make new friends and lifelong bonds, join Heta Omega! The sisterhood has a place for all girls of all types!" Maybe that wasn't the best she could do, but it was something. "The sisterhood of Heta Omega welcomes all! Everyone fits in, the only requirement is to be yourself and to participate," she kept her smile on as she hoped Maddie would arrive soon. Izzy wasn't the best when it came to convincing a crowd of people. "Say no to sexism!" |

Bee didn't think her table would be very popular, not only because of her lack of set up, but because not everyone was cut out for dueling since it required a bit more skill than most other clubs. She heard a vaguely familiar voice repeat what she said and when she turned to see who it was, she was surprised to see Ari here at Hogwarts New Zealand. She huffed out a laugh at his safety padding comment but shook her head as she asked, "What are you doing here?" still a little shocked by his appearance. She'd been at this school for five years and definitely would've noticed him before now but here he was, in all his handsome glory, no longer just a memory in a booth at the Three Broomsticks. Bee grinned when he said he'd like to know what the SDA was, trying not to smile too big to give away her excitement of seeing him here. "The SDA hosts dueling competitions for students to practice their skills," she said as officially as she could, holding her head up high. "Do you think you're cut out for it?" she teased. Alexis entered the Great Hall to see it bustling with activity. She saw the older students behind long tables with signs on them pertaining to the clubs offered for this term. She noticed different clubs - Hogwarts Monthly, SDA, Heta Omega - to name a few. Heta Omega caught her attention along with Hogwarts Monthly. The young Ravenclaw made her way to Isabelle Marie, her house prefect, who was manning Heta Omega. "Hey, Isabelle! Great to see you here.", she greeted the French prefect. "Are first years allowed to join Heta Omega?", she inquired. tagging Isabelle Marie |

Aminia hadn't let go of what she thought was a friendship she'd taken for granted. The Ravenclaw thus decided that if she was not going to be able to locate Lennon in the house she'd find him at the school fair. Proving herself worthy seemed so beneath her, but after the summer she'd had she felt maybe she needed to take a step off her pedestal anyways. Dressed in something simple Aminia made her way to the club fair and approached the table. "Do you accept members who are of an older age group?" She inquired. After all, Lennon wouldn't be able to be outwardly rude in front of the others without scaring them off. "If so what is it i need to complete to join?" Aminia looked up through thick blonde lashes, golden eyes searching for some emotion but barely emoting on their own. |

"Great!" Lennon clapped his hands. He smiled happily when the younger boy expressed interest in joining and slid the sign up sheet to him so he could write his name on it. The boy looked so young which pleased Lennon because it meant the boy would have so much time at Hogwarts to improve his skills and improve the paper once he graduated, which was coming up sooner than Lennon expected. Lennon was so wrapped up in recruiting the one member that he hadn't noticed someone else approaching until he heard an all-too familiar voice. He knew who it was before he even looked up, but still the sight of Mini seemed to take his breath away. It's just the Veela blood, he thought firmly, dismissing any feelings he had as he blinked and his brain caught up with what she said. "I'm sorry - what?" he said, disbelief in his face as he registered what Mini was trying to do. "The Hogwarts Monthly accepts anyone who is actually interested in the paper," Lennon replied curtly, trying to remain professional while still dismissing Aminia. There was no way Mini was actually interested in working for the school paper and was clearly just trying to worm her way back into his life. There was nothing he could do to technically stop her but he would try to discourage her from joining by being cold to her. He was done playing her games. |
