[justify]Eros, along with his older sister, Astraea, made their way to the fair. Astraea, had offered many times, a position to work as her manager. Eros thank his sister, as good as the sounded he wanted more than just a job to maintain his own. Eros had in mind to make a big difference in the wizarding world. But like all his other peers, he had no clue where to start. He took the fair as an invite, to new beginnings once Hogwarts was over. However, as he toured each table he felt no interest in them, no bridge connection. Eros was determine to at least leave this place with something in mind. If nothing conjure, he sure to go back to those rallies again. And maybe, just maybe starting out small with community work will do. There still enough fulfilment in working in small communities. It wasn't long before the first youth approached his table, which Konstantin was thankful for. He could see a woman somewhat further down handing out pamphlets and advertising in a more active manner than he was, recognising her department as transportation. It was a little clever that she'd brought along a small fireplace, even if it did look a little odd to be there, and he briefly wondered if it worked. Perhaps he should have brought something along with him, though it was probably best that he went without an example of what a failed charm could look like.

"Yes, it is." The wizard confirmed as he was questioned on whether or not his job was within the Ministry. It is our job to oversee the development and applications of experimental charms both within the Ministry and out. We see it as important to continue to create new spells as our magical community progresses, and as the world continues to evolve. Most new spells come through this department after they've been trialed and cleared. If your parents are magical then they may have also participated in some of our surveys on public opinions of charms and their effect on society or the environment." The latter was a little on the more mundane side of the department, but it was one of their main interactions with the wizarding community as a whole.

[ Social worker at ST Mungo ]

When she saw all the people behind the tables Paige still had butterflies in her stomach. The students walked in and a girl stopped in front of their table. ''Hello'' Paige said while looking at the girl. The girl asked if they were both doctors, which made Paige smile. The word doctor was rarely ever used and Paige had to think when she heard it last. It was probably when she was still living in England. She had only heard the term healer, but she seemed so young and careless. ''I am Paige and I work as a social worker in the hospital'' Paige told in her English accent. After living in New zealand for two years she still had her English accent. Paige looked at Tybalt and waited for him to introduce himself. ''Is there something you want to know about our profession?'' Paige looked curiously and waited for the girl to respond. She was starting to like being at this fair.

Reisha loved her uncle very much and always had, he had always been a second father figure to her as he had lived in their home ever since she was a baby. She didn't hate him for bringing her to New Zealand, no matter how many times she had told him in anger and frustration that she did. He was only fulfilling her father's dying wish after all, so it was really him she should hate but how could you possibly hate a dead man? Deep down she knew he thought he was doing the best for her but if New Zealand and her mother's family had not been good enough for them while he had been alive why should it be good enough now? With so many thoughts plaguing her, Reisha had decided to get out of the house and leave waiting for the Hogwarts owl alone, it would either come and leave the letter or it wouldn't come. She couldn't continue to keep herself on tender hooks waiting for it, so decided instead to make her way to Obsidian to attend the careers fair that her uncle had been speaking about.

She was greatly interested in animals. loved them dearly and did want a career that had something to do with animals but she just didn't know what yet. Reisha had managed to get herself a job in the Owl Emporium working for Preston Paine who was dreamy and lovely and such a hard worker, the hours were good and the pay was great too ... it was only a summer job though, something to help with her savings for that all too important rainy day. She had thought there would be other stands that would have something in relation to magical creatures at it but the only one she could find was her uncles and she really didn't want to go and talk to him about anything. The other man that was with him however might have a different perspective on the field entirely and so she approached the stand and gave her uncle Leon a small smile before looking to the man along side of him.

"Hello, could you tell me what sort of careers are out there for people interested in working with animals... magical creatures?"

Amber had been very eager to get to the career fair, as she was starting to grow nervous about her inability to figure out what she wanted to do after school. Fourth year was coming up, and OWLs would be around the corner. She sometimes couldn't sleep at night, worrying she wasn't taking a class she would need later or would do badly on some essential OWL for her dream job. It would help a lot if she knew what that dream job was, as it would make it a lot easier to prepare for it.

She had agreed to take her sister Sophie, but the girl had drooped off as soon as the two had entered the fair, muttering something that Amber barely paid attention to. She glanced around, feeling a little lost. There were so many adults here with different tables, and it all looked slightly intimidating to her. She decided to head to a career path she was familiar with, walking over to the healer table. She heard some of the woman's talk to a younger girl and was surprised to hear she wasn't a healer but a social worker. "I thought only healers worked at St. Mungos." She said honestly. Healer had been a career path she had considered, but it didn't seem to fit her completely. She wanted to help people, but dealing with injuries and blood would scare her too much. Social worker actually sounded like something that was closer to her personality and she was immediately curious. "What sort of work do you do?" She hoped she wasn't being rude by intruding in the conversation, but she really wanted to know the answer.

Magizoologist | Reckless

Marcel smiled at the girl who approached their stand, ''Hi there, I'm Marcel,'' and nodded at her question. ''Well, that depends on if want to work with multiple creatures and study them, if you want to specialise yourself with only one, or if you want to deal with the duties and problems concerning magical creatures with different classifications,'' he told her, picking up a couple of pamphlets from both his side of the stand and Leon's side and handing them to the girl. ''See, there are a couple of different careers you could choose from if you are interested in working with magical creatures. You could become a Magizoologist like me and study magical creatures, or a Dragonologist, someone who specialises themselves with a certain breed of dragons. You could also become an employee of the Ministry of Magic and work for the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures under either the Beast, Being or Spirit Division, or the Goblin or Centaur Liaison Office.'' Marcel said. He looked up at Leon, wondering if he had something to add to this.

[justify]Tybalt looked at the woman who joined him at the table and smiled at her, "You must be Paige, I'm Tybalt," he introduced politely, he thought he'd certainly seen her before and it was likely he had. If they both worked at the hospital he was sure they'd have probably run into each other. But, that didn't really matter, what mattered were the students and others who were pouring into the area and getting grips with what was here. The former Gryffindor was not surprised when someone came to them and asked if they were both doctors. The word of course was healer but they were the magical equivalent to doctors. He gave a polite smile as Paige introduced herself, "I'm a healer, or doctor if you prefer to call me that, I work in magical bugs," he introduced himself to the girl before looking once more to Paige before nodding, "I can answer questions you might have about the differences between the muggle doctors and the healers?" he added this thinking that perhaps she was a muggleborn now torn between two professions that were pretty similar. And as another girl came up to them, but directed their question more towards Paige than himself he could give this other girl all the attention.

Leon listened to Marcel and thought the guy should collect the creatures now and do his research at the same time. There would be plenty of other magizoologists in New Zealand surely who would only be too happy to help out.

"Well ... if you ever need dragons ... just say the word, sending them to dragon reserves is all well and good but having eggs on hand in a magizoo would be a great crowd pleaser" he grinned, after they'd hatched they'd only be able to stay for the best part of nine months at the most at the zoo because by then they'd be pretty big in size and breathing fire that could burn a house down and their wings would be starting to strengthen as well. He didn't fancy any dragon being chained down at a young age, no matter how much he had to restrain the wild ones when he came across them.

He had thought the guy was on the young side so let the matter drop, Marcel obviously knew what way he wanted to go with his career and who was Leon to say any different. Turning his head he spotted his niece approaching the stand and smiled, convinced that she was coming to see him but when her own smile was a bit wan, he frowned wondering what was going on until she asked Marcel a question.

She could just have easily asked him these questions back home and crossed his arms over his chest as Marcel answered her as best he could, taking pamphlets from his own section as well as Leon's to give to her. Marcel looked to him and Leon exhaled before moving his hands to stuff them into his pockets instead.

"Yeah that's about right, there's also the pest advisory board and the office of misinformation in there but you really have to know just what sort of magical creatures you want to work with. Applying to the ministry doesn't mean you'll get your first choice, you might have to work in different departments within the three divisions long before that happens. You know ... work your way up but that helps in getting a good foundation behind you, plenty of experience" he told her, again thinking he could have told her all of this at home.
"There's always store work or reserves and sanctuaries that need good capable staff" he informed her waiting to see if she had anything else to ask.

Fleur wasn't even in school yet, though she would be starting Hogwarts in September, but she already knew what she wanted to be when she was older. So when she had heard on the radio about the Career Fair to be hosted in the country she would soon be living in for school, it had been her who had asked her parents if she could please go. There were probably more examples of situations where it was the other way around, but Fleur had known what she wanted since she was eight, and she was determined to learn more about how to get there.

Leaving her parents to deal with her younger siblings, neither of which had any interest in being here, she grabbed a drink before heading to the different tables. She only looked at most of the tables briefly, long enough to dismiss them as something she wasn't interested in, she stopped in front of a table with moving dragon miniatures and pamphlets that caught her interest. She gently touched one of the miniatures before looking up at the two men behind the table. There was an older blond girl at this table too, but Fleur barely paid her any mind. "Do either of you work with dragons?" She asked, eyeing them both. "I want to know everything about jobs with dragons." She said with a determined look on her face. Only then did she remember her manners. "Please." She added hastily, already gathering the different pamphlets on the table to take home.

Reisha smiled at the man who introduced himself as Marcel and began talking to her about specialising or basically just figuring out to begin with what she wanted to do as magical creatures was such a broad field. She had never even considered that really, especially when he mentioned the duties and problems that went with the different classifications. It all gave her serious pause for thought and she took the pamphlets that he handed to her with a nod and a thank you. He continued on explaining more about the ministry side of things before passing it over to her uncle who mentioned departments and divisions in the ministry she hadn't even heard of. There really was a lot more to magical creatures than she had been aware of.

She gave her uncle a wry smile when he mentioned store work as she had only recently gotten a job in the owl emporium and to the best of her knowledge her boss had mentioned on her first day something about a reserve or sanctuary, she decided to ask him about that. Thanking her uncle she turned again to Marcel, who had said he was a magizoologist. Anything about the ministry she could and would find out from her uncle, but this type of thing he wouldn't be able to discuss with her.

"What exactly do magizoologists do? How did you get into it ... are there certain subjects besides Care of Magical Creatures that I need to be taking?"

Chinese | Sophisticated | fourth year

[justify]Since arriving in New Zealand and at Hogwarts lauv hadn't come much closer to deciding what she wanted to do following school, if her grades stayed as good as they had been in her first year she would be able to do whatever she wanted, but that was a long way away. She had to admit back in China she had just always expected to join the family business or well join the company her father had been working about since that was something he enjoyed. However here in New Zealand she was thinking about the other things that she could do. The girl arrived at the careers fair and made her way around the different stands and stalls, working with animals didn't interest her, and charms also while she liked it wasn't something she wanted to do as a career. She liked the idea of being a warder but wasn't overly interested, in the end like she had expected the girl ended up in front of the healer and the social worker, both of whom she was greatly intrigued by. She didn't however ask about anything, picking up one of the leaflets and looked at it while vaguely listening to what the man was saying to another girl. She didn't want to interrupt at all, and was happy to just listen while holding a leaflet.

[justify]Working in brightstone village had given jerara a little annoyance over these holidays. He'd heard about the careers fair but it had taken him quite a lot to get there and he hadn't been able to work that day. However, the ravenclaw was happy to come, he'd picked his options and was looking towards what he could do with them afterwards. The ravenclaw had been interested in many things but none that had particularly taken his fancy, though he assumed half of it was because he just didn't know enough about it yet. Within the people who were at this fair, Jerara spotted Tristan, he walked over to his friend and looked at what he was looking at, the man who worked on the charms committee. That was pretty interesting he had to admit, and he listened to the man's answer to whatever questions tristan had asked before he'd gotten there. He had to admit it sounded pretty amazing, he couldn't help but then follow it with, "What sort of grades and classes does a person need to work in such a department?" He hoped that Tristan wouldn't mind that he'd joined them and was perhaps interrupting but he was curious, "And how long does the spell creation process take? Has the department ever had to pull a spell at the last moment because of an unforeseen problem?" Jerara realised as he asked that the questions he was asking were perhaps quite muggle in their nature, but this was really his first interaction with a wizard that was not either a professor, his boss or customers. This was someone and a situation where you could ask questions.

[justify]Noemie enjoyed writing a lot and so she was curious about if any reporters would be at the careers fair, those were the people she was most interested in meeting. But a quick walk around and she realised there weren't any. The girl ran a hand through her auburn hair as she walked around the fair. Eventually what caught her eye was a man who was apparently a warder. She had to admit, Noemie didn't really know what that was. She knew that they existed but not entire what they did. She walked over to him, and smiled, "What exactly does a warder do?" she hoped she wasn't being rude but she had no idea how to otherwise talk to him, how to ask her question. She wanted to know what it involved and if she could do it. While her interests remained in reporting and journalism, she knew that it wasn't a bad thing to have a back up and perhaps this would actually take her fancy more. She'd never really paid much attention to magical careers until really the last few years.

[justify]Ares as the quidditch captain of hufflepuff and as someone who really enjoyed quidditch felt like being a professional quidditch player was the perfect career for him. However, he'd been trying to figure out a back up, something that he could do if at any point he was unable to play. He didn't intend to just drop it like his brother had the moment he left school. If Ares could he would play until he couldn't. The hufflepuff grinned to himself as he walked into the career's fair, joining the hum of other people within the crowd of others. He wasn't sure what he was looking for or what he was interested in, he hadn't really thought about it. An auror sounded fun but he knew it was next to impossible for him to get the grades necessary, so given the fact he took care of magical creatures, he ended up infront of the two animal type jobs. The teen smiled at them both and noted the younger boy whom Ares was sure he remembered from the house, he'd been a prefect, "Hi! Do you like working as a Magizoologist? Is it particularly hard to achieve, I'm not too academic," the boy asked.

[justify]Rome was wondering around the careers fair, a last minute decision as her twin was off galavanting around the world with his camera and she was just left in New Zealand with not much to do. Rome had found out about it and rather than completely dismissing it decided that given that she hadn't done too horribly that she could give it a look. The teen had decided she wanted to pursue duelling but should another stupid and selfish set of prefects decide that she wasn't to do that either he needed another option. Since all the people in Hogwarts just seemed to hate her. In fairness she hated them all too, thought of most of them as little idiots who didn't know what was good for them. She couldn't really see anything that she liked but she continued the wonder hearing snippets of conversation about what others were saying but really she didn't think she could do any of it, nor did she really want to. God how frustrating it was that the slytherin team had been run by a sore loser with emotional problems.
