Professor Wolf was surprised to see what was on the lesson plan, but he was just a substitute so he'd stick to what was written. He used his wand to send a stack of papers over towards the desk where one floated down onto each. As soon as the class filled up, he spoke. "Looks like it's a bit of a quiz for today. You can leave as soon as you finish."

1. What are the seven types of Transfiguration?
2. Name the five areas of Transfiguration that are heavily regulated.
3. What is the spell that changes a spoon to a quill and back again?

5. How would you turn a book into a jewelry box?
6. What are your views on Transfiguration as punishment? What are the Ministry's views? What has replaced this practice?

[justify]It was odd to Lydia that she was already at the end of her second last semester ever, the time just seemed to fly by, she was excited by the prospect of the upcoming yuleball, but she couldn't help but think about how she was doing the last of everything, Hogwarts had encompassed her life for six and half years and this was it beginning to come to an end. She knew she'd be fine, but it was quite a thought. There was just a slight disbelief in her that soon this would be ending. The teen was getting ready for the last class of transfiguration, putting her books into her bag, ensuring that she had her wand putting the prefects badge proudly on her uniform. She was looking forward to saying goodbye to some classes, the exams wouldn't be for a while, but it would be the end of several classes.

Lydia walked into the transfiguration classroom, knowing exactly what they would doing. The last two quizzes had left two years of her studying open, so it would have to be covered in this class. She was rather happy by this fact that she could just actually put some of the studying into practice, but Lydia would've also liked to spend the time studying. She pulled the sheet towards her and began to read over what it said, reading each of the questions and only when she felt certain she began to fill out the quiz, it wasn't too complicated, some of the work had been so long ago that she'd forgotten that they'd ever done it. She was done in no time at all and just packed up her things and left the class. The last transfiguration class had been exactly what she'd expected but she knew it would be one of the classes she would miss.

I don't believe that it's right as a punishment, it can be harmful to the person, and if gone wrong by the caster can have heavy consequences. I don't believe that it'll actually be much of a punishment to the person that will help them become better members of society. The ministry largely agrees with this stance. Azkaban has replaced this practice.

Felix couldn't believe it was already the final week of the semester, the Yule ball was just around the corner and before he knew it he would be home for the holidays. His final year at Hogwarts was really slipping away from him. Felix made his way into the classroom for the final Transfiguration lesson of the semester, as it had been for the last few weeks it was being covered by a substitute Professor. He took his seat and it wasn't long before they were given a quiz to fill out. Felix got to work filling in the answers and when he was finished he handed it back to Professor Wolfe and left the classroom.

It is an extremely harsh form of punishment, the major issue with it is that it can have consequences if the process goes wrong. In most cases it would be considered a disproportionate punishment. The ministry does not agree with using Transfiguration as a punishment and the practice has been replaced by the prison Azkaban.

Alana could not believe all of the quizzes they were getting in class. Surely, there was still things for them to learn. Turning over the paper, Alana got to work. It was easier than last week's exam had been, though she knew she needed to study. Badly.

6. The Ministry's current stance is against the use of transfiguration as a form of punishment, declaring the practice a cruel punishment. Instead, they send wizards to Azkaban where they are imprisoned well away from society with the wizarding world's other prisoners. I agree with the Ministry's stance. Transfiguration sounds like a horrible form of punishment for any crime.
