Name: Cairo Savage House: Slytherin Year: Fifth year Lesson: One
Lesson One Cairo had always garnered an interest in astronomy, and he even had a telescope in his bedroom that he often used to view the stars at night, but he had not chosen to take astronomy as a subject until that year, thinking that the professor that taught the older subjects would be more useful and less boring than the professor that taught the younger years. Upon arriving to the room and choosing a seat next to Rome, Cairo had decided he was right in choosing to take astronomy as the professor seemed both professional and organized. It was the least he could say for a few of the other professors he had that semester, so he was happy to follow the professor to the great lawn, and study star charts as he promised. Cairo took a star chart as it was handed to him, and looked up to read it, smirking as he began to follow the professor's further instructions and located north and south before turning to align the map with each of the points. He helped Rome align each of the points before pointing out a few of the obvious constellations to her, and explaining how everything went to his knowledge.
Finding other constellations within the star charts had been easy for Cairo as many of them, with the exception of the southern cross, he had seen from his bedroom in London. He continued pointing out each constellation in his mind and then to Rome, and managed to pick out a fair few that were visible for that time of year. He was so immersed in the task that he nearly did not notice when the class had been dismissed, though he luckily managed to draw his attention from the star chart, and left the lawn when he was allowed, following behind Rome. He curious to experience his next astronomy lesson, and eager to learn more.

Name: Rome Savage House: slytherin Year: Fifth Year Lesson: 2
Spoiler: click to toggle Rome really didn't like astronomy, she thought it was just too boring for her. What did she care about the stars, how would the stars really affect her. Rome sighed heavily as she walked along side Cairo up the many steps to the astronomy classroom, she knew this would be a terrible lesson, but she was going anyway, to show that she could take a slight interest in her studies. To perhaps help her move to passing grades for her OWLs, although she knew this would be one of the classes she'd be no longer taking. She followed Cairo into the room and took a seat next to him, taking out her books and sighing heavily as she looked to the front of the room, waiting for the professor to get started. The teen wasn't sure what they'd be covering that day, but she really also didn't care all that much.
As it turned out they would be covering eclipses, which to her was about as interesting as anything else that might be taught in this subject. Not overly interesting, but maybe a little better than other things they could cover. Rome had her quill in her hand and was writing down the odd thing the man was saying, writing down some of what was being said, but really not all that much. She thought it a pretty dull subject, not one she really wanted to twist her brain around or take too many notes about. She wasn't surprised that reckless magic was often thought to muggles as eclipses, since they just didn't know any better. Magical people shouldn't have to hide their magic, but since they did it meant that muggles were none the wiser to some of those causes. With that the lecture was over, Rome gladly tidied away her things and left the class. She was really looking forward to when she could drop all of the useless classes that she had.

Name: Felix Warrick House: Ravenclaw Year: Seventh Lesson: 1,2,4
Lesson One Astronomy was boring, but Felix only had to endure one more semester of the subject and he would have an extra NEWT to pad out his results. He made his way up to the Astronomy tower and to the classroom at the top where he took his seat and waited for Professor Orbon to begin his lesson. The topic was unusual even for Hogwarts. In the muggle world the idea of alien life was disputed but the Professor was talking about it as if it was an absolute certainty. Felix wouldn't be convinced just by the word of the Professor but he took notes anyway as he suspected it could be part of the NEWT. There was a lot of information and Felix took down as much of it as he could. Once the lesson was over he packed away his notes and made his way out of the classroom.
Lesson Two Felix yawned as he made his way up to the classroom at the top of the Astronomy tower. He was tired after successive nights in the library and the then studying in the common room until the small hours. Felix dragged himself into the classroom and took his seat. The lesson was on the constellations, which Felix knew a little about already from Divination but he took notes all the same as he suspected things would be a little different in the Astronomy exam. Felix made notes on each of the constellation that Professor Orbon talked them through and when the lesson was over he packed away those notes and made his way out of the classroom.
Lesson Four The end was in sight for Felix. There was only a handful of lessons to go before the end of the semester, Quidditch had ended, and it had ended poorly for Ravenclaw. Felix was almost glad he had lessons to distract him what a terrible captain he had been. Once he got inside the classroom and took his seat Professor Orbon began the lesson. He started by asking the class if any of them had heard of a wizard astronomer. Felix raised his hand, "Harmony Salvatore," Professor Orbon confirmed he was correct and Felix went back to taking notes. The Professor continued to talk to them about several different astronomers until he came to the topic of the Mortmyron Observatory which is when he drew their attention to a portkey which they took to the said observatory. Once they arrived they were given sometime to look around the place. Felix didn't go far because he wasn't all that interested so when the time was up Felix was one of the first at the portkey. When it was time Felix grabbed it and they were transported back to the classroom. Felix grabbed his bag and left.
