Health

Illnesses (if any): nothing physical but socially awkward and anxious
Allergies (if any): people ... no, none really
Sleeping habits: keeps a tight routine - washes, changes for bed, brushes teeth, has a hot cocoa, cuddles with her rag doll Babba ( a very plain grubby looking rag doll about 12" in height, has no face or hair at all and no clothing. Just a plain calico stuffed cloth doll that has become worn over time), settles into bed and snuggles down with whatever book she is reading. Asleep almost always be 10pm. Rises at 6am every morning.

Energy level: Has spurts of energy levels, on a good day she could be high in energy and will want to constantly do things, clean her room, clean the house, clean her brothers ... on a bad day when her levels are low she is sometimes found sitting upside on the sofa or prone on a spot on the floor, groaning that she is feels like a slug.

Eating habits: Minerva only eats when she is hungry and stops eating as soon as she knows she is full or almost full. She isn't a picky eater but she does know what she likes and does not like. She certainly doesn't like sauce all over her food and does not like one piece of food touching another - meat stay away from the vegetables please!

Memory: Minerva has a very good memory though after reading Sherlock Holmes before her first year at Hogwarts she is considering attempting to do what Holmes does and only keep in her head information that she thinks would be useful to her.

Any unhealthy habits: Not yet but am sure with age these will come.

Astrological Characteristics

Personality Type

Likes: rules, order, structure, homework, piano music, sunshine, night time, stars, astronomy
Likes - people: Norton - best friend Ever | Elly - Next Bestest friend Ever | Alistair - thinks he is amazing but would never say it aloud.

Dislikes: mud, chaos, shouting, bullies, rain, balloons popping, fireworks
Dislikes - people: dislikes is far less than hate so currently feeling it for Alexander and Tristan - mainly as they confuse her no end - one with his music and the other with his anti-muggle sentiments (assumed)

Education: Now in Second Year at Hogwarts New Zealand
Boggart: getting expelled losing her best friends
Personal goals:
First Year Goal: To achieve top grades in all her classes ;
Was this achieved? She got exceptionally high grades but does not know if they were the highest. Four students were awarded trophies for the most house points but Minerva though earning a high number of points was not the top point earner in her year. She was delighted that the winner was her close friend Elly but disappointed that they award was not more specific as house points were awarded on other things besides academic achievements.

Second Year Goal: To win the trophy for most points in her year or die trying.

General attitude: in her first year she was very socially awkward, anxious and sounded like a know it all. After befriending Norton Gillespie and Elly Chatwin - Minerva is calmer in certain situations now and though she still feels apprehensive about any social situations - because she has friends to attend them with now, she doesn't let it effect her as it used to. Likes to speak her mind and voice her opinion if she thinks that someone is out of line or has a different opinion to hers.

General intelligence: very smart
General sociability: Still socially awkward but with friends now, very good friends - her social anxiety is not as palpable and she has put herself out there a bit more, attending quidditch games, the Yule Ball and the Valentines ball.

Minerva has always been a socially awkward child. She loves her family dearly but has always preferred the company of older adults like her grandparents or the company of animals to children her own age. She is clever but comes across as aloof and abrupt-- she does not feel comfortable with trying to make friends. It's an exhausting effort that fills her with anxiety. Being naturally introverted Minerva would welcome perhaps a very small select few friends but no more than that.

She likes order and rules and takes things very literally, so that her family have learned to phrase things in a particular way for her. She loves smooth jazz music and anything with the piano. She likes to sing but not publicly, it’s for her own enjoyment only. Minerva loves to read and can usually be found with her head buried inside a book.

It has taken her some time to learn about sarcasm and sometimes this still goes over her head completely. Jokes are also not her forte, she often will ask after telling a joke why someone found it funny and tends to take notes afterwards in order to better tell the same joke later. She doesn’t have the greatest sense of humour but she does try to understand why people see the funny side in things.

Minerva likes to dance and has great rhythm but she prefers dancing when no one can see her. She is always eager to learn new things and absorbs information like a sponge. She likes to watch butterflies and is fascinated by all insects and animals. She adores horses, unicorns and griffins. She loves the colour black and she loves raindrops trickling down a window.

She is a champion of the underdog and cannot bare to see any injustice done to anyone or anything. She does not lie, not even to save herself from a punishment. Her parents did bring her to St. Mungos to see if there was any potion or spell that could assist her and with the help of the healers there, she has been able to take a draught that alleviates much but not all of her anxieties. It will however assist her in her worst moments.

History of family:
Dad met Mom, Mom hated Dad, Dad did all he could to get her to notice him and change her mind about him. Mom thought he was a pompous oaf. Dad gave up or pretended to. Mom was delighted he had given up or pretended to be. Dad pretended to ignore Mom. Mom began getting iffy because this guy was now ignoring her. Dad was delighted because he saw his plan was working. Mom was rightly annoyed because it turned out the guy really was a jerk for leading her on and dumping her. Dad got a smack across the face. Mom got yelled at. Dad got a stupefy incantation thrown at him. Mom got detention. Dad apologised to her. Mom ignored him. Dad sent her a small bud that opened only when she touched it and inside was a beautiful butterfly that flew around and around the petals. Mom was mollified. Dad began to walk with her to lessons. Mom slowly stopped ignoring him. Dad began to walk her back from lessons. Mom began to talk to him... eventually. Dad asked her to go with him to a Yule dance. Mom accepted. Dad took her out for a slow set. Mom kissed him under the mistletoe. The rest ... is history.

Life story so far:
Minerva was born to relatively young parents who had her two years after they were married. They never regretted starting a family so soon though they were both busy with getting their farming business up and running. Setting up a house or home was not top of their priorities at the time but they were very happy when they discovered the news. However, being young and new to parenthood their anxieties and nervousness did project on to Minerva who has always extremely anxious about everything she does or attempts to do. By the time her brothers and sister came along, her parents were a lot more relaxed and carefree and it shows in how Lincoln, Saunders and Ritchel behave to everyday things and people compared to Minerva.

However, Minerva is very intelligent, she soaks up information and knowledge like a sponge and puts herself through rigorous critique when she gets something wrong or she doesn't understand something straight away. She is her own worst enemy. At five years of age, she saw her first piano and was instantly hooked. She wanted to know how to play it and how to read music and did not talking about it until her parents finally let her take lessons. She has talent and is very proficient, she has a good ear and reads music like it's her first language but because she is more logically focused and academically minded, Minerva plays exceptionally well but will never have the natural passion for it.

When she was seven years old her father took her to her first quidditch game, two players got into a fight right in front of her and she was whacked by the tail end of a broom, so insisted on never, ever attending a real game again after that. She also has never liked flying, when she was small her father did try to teach her but she ended up hanging upside down far more often than she did sitting on the broom itself. She was assured that she did not have to be good at everything and though this was normally a reason she would use to persevere at something, Minerva this time relented and decided that when the time came she would excel instead at apparation.

When her letter to Hogwarts arrived, she was not as excited as her family were. Her brothers almost tore the letter between them in their attempt to read it. She became extremely anxious and had a very bad panic attack. Though her parents were worried about her going off to school, they reassured her and themselves that it was only a few months and then she'd be home for the holidays again. Minerva wrote to them every single day of her first few weeks begging them to let her come home. They were heartbroken that she didn't want to stay there but they assured her that things would change and she would settle in. It was only nearing the end of her first semester with no friends to account for, though some classmates and housemates were polite and friendly, Minerva began to settle down, even finally figuring out how to fly a little.

KHULIK

Of all the Anglo-Saxon names to come from Britain, Khulik is one of the most ancient. The name is a result of the original family having lived in Kilnwick in the East Riding of Yorkshire. They are now found in Humberside, a new county formed after the reorganization of local government in England in 1974. The place-name is based on the Old English personal name Cylla and means 'Farm of a man named Cylla'. Kilnwick was recorded as Chileuuit in the Domesday Book in 1086 and as Killingwic in the 12th century. The surname Kulick was first found in Yorkshire in Kilnwick, a village and parish in the Yorkshire wolds. Many provincial dialects dropped the final N of Kiln and the W in the termination.

When the Gregory and Nathanial Kulick were born in the 1890, one was magical and the other was a muggle. Nathanial was sent away to an orphanage and his family told everyone that he had died in a tragic accident when visiting distant relations. He was adopted as luck would have it by a squib Thomas Wickens who adopted him mainly to help around his farm. When Nathaniel was old enough he attended magic school, returning to the farm only on summer holidays. Once old enough he changed his name from Nathaniel Kulick to Nathan Khulik and left the shores of England to seek a better life elsewhere.

Though many were still going to America to seek their fortune, Nathan went to the other end of the world, as far away from his past life as he could possibly go. He arrived in New Zealand in the summer of 1908. There he would eventually buy some land and build himself his own farm, marry and have children of his own. The Khulik family grew steadily and quietly, spreading from New Zealand to other parts of the world.

BENNETT

The Bennett surname is dervied from the Latin given name Benedictus, which means 'blessed'. It became a common given name throughout Europe due to the popularity of St. Benedict. The surname was first found in north Lancashire where a Benedictine monastery known as Furness Abeey was by founded by the Savigny monks of Normandy in 1127. Many Bennetts thrived in England and parts of Europe but it was not until the 17th century that branches of the family began to spread out, venturing to America. It was not until 1823 that 13 year old James Bennett was sentenced for life to Tasmania from London. The ship never made it and due to storms at sea was set on course instead for New Zealand. Many died on the ship but James Bennett survived. He lived in abject poverty for a long time before getting a job helping in the lighthouse in Tauranga. He eventually took over the running of the lighthouse in his 40's and settled down with a Cornish woman of the name Mary Pennow. They worked the lighthouse together and soon had a family.

Henry and Thomas Bennett were the first magical children of that lineage, their parents were supportive and for generations the Bennetts grew up and ran the lighthouse and a nearby sheep farm. Thomas's son Frederick married a maori woman - they had twins both of which were also magical. From that day to the early 20th century, the Bennett line direct from the father has produced only children with magical blood. When Henry Bennett and his wife, Stella Ward had three girls, none were magical and for the next several generations no magic born came to be until the birth of Dedalus Bennett. Dedalus met and fell in love with a half-Maori, half-Dutch woman Lorgana Riki and they had a beautiful daughter Agaranez in 1997.

Father:
Ezekiel Khulik | Married | Half Blood ||
Occupation: Kiwi fruit and wine farmer
Wand: 11 1/2 inches curved ebony and hawthorn mix with unicorn hair core
Home: Bugthan, 5 miles outside of Wellington
Nationality: New Zealander
Alumni: Hogwarts New Zealand / Class of 2025 / Ravenclaw

Born to Matthew and Rachel Khulik in August 2007, Ezekiel was the third of six children, they were a wizarding family but his parents did not have any formal education in a school setting; so were delighted when the wizarding school was set up in 2016. The family sometimes lived hand to mouth when their kiwi farm did not produce the crop they had hoped for. As each of his siblings grew up, they moved away seeing no future for themselves in New Zealand Ezekiel stayed on to help run the farm. He often spent his time going between there and his neighbours home, Akenehi also had a son about Ezekiel's age and together they practiced Makatu Maori magic and what Ezekiel learned at Hogwarts.

In was in his fourth year at Hogwarts when he met Agaranez Riki and became utterly besotted. They married when he was 23 years old, living on his parents farm and taking it over completely when his father died in an accident on the farm when Minerva was four years old. Ezekiel's mother passed away the following year from a broken heart. He now runs not only the kiwi fruit farm but has established a small vineyard with Kuru, Akenehi's son. Agaranez and Ezekiel went on to have three more children after Minerva and though the family are not by any means rich, they are comfortable and get by through perseverance and hard work.

Wand: 19 3/4 inches straight yet flexible willow with core of mermaid hair

Born in 2009, Agaranez was the only daughter in a family of four brothers. Her mother was half-Maori / half Dutch and her father was of European ancestry. She worked at home with her mother all her young life and learned all her magical theory and skills from her parents and practicing with her older brothers. She loved watching her mother dye wool lots and learned how to do beautiful different colours herself and began selling her yarns around the world, even to muggle stores. She was thrilled to get her Hogwarts letter and even more to be sorted into Ravenclaw. She was in second year when she first met Ezekiel but didn't really like him right away, it wasn't until her third year that they finally began dating and are still together since. They married in 2030 when she was 21 years old and spent the next two years helping on the farm, growing her own business and settling in to the Khulik home. She loves her life, her husband and her children and though it is exceptionally trying and exhausting at times, she wouldn't change any of it.

WAND:
Knotted 10 1/2 Inch Unyielding Cedar Wand with Phoenix Tail Feather Core

Length: A fairly average length for a wand, not at all uncommon or very special.

Style: The knots of this wand's original wood remain clearly visible - earthy, this style of wand is perhaps most traditional and closest to nature.

Wood: 'You will never fool the Cedar carrier' - wielders of a Cedar wand have great strength of character and excellent perception of the motives of others.

Core: Phoenix tail feathers are not easy to come by. The animal is known for its versatility, making wands with this core useful for wand casters who seek to become good with different types of magic.

Flexibility: Unyielding: A wand which takes a special skill and determination to master; but once mastered its spells leave an unforgettable impression.

PET
Bombay Cat:
Name: ODIN

They are a strong healthy breed that has a medium sized frame with a round head which can appear slightly too large for their body. The Cat has a little snub nose and large ears which are rounded at the tip. Everything about the cat must be black in colour, so the fur has to be completely jet black all over, the nose must also be black in colour. They are noted for purring a great deal.

Breed Characteristics

Coat: The breed has a short, black, very close lying coat that has a sleek and shiny appearance. There should be no flecks of any other colour in the fur.

Eyes: The cat has large eyes that are either gold or yellow to green in the UK and gold to copper in the USA.

Grooming: The Bombay cat breed has a coat which will need a little extra grooming to ensure that the fur retains that sleek glossy look. However as it is a short coat this is not hard work.

Breed Characteristics:
This cat breed has a very similar temperament to the Burmese breed and has a sedate and affectionate nature. It does enjoy lots of attention and so is ideal for a home where someone is around a lot and who is prepared to spend time with the cat.
