July 2043

Saveli Matveev was excited - beyond excited she was elated. The feeling of adrenaline of inviting over a boy while Monty was gone was only half of her mood. The other half was that it was Javed and he was coming over to do some testing for a tattoo design. Of course Saveli hadn't mentioned to Monty that she was thinking of getting a tattoo, she wasn't sure what he'd say. However if she told him the location - her upper rib cage on the front of her chest - she knew he'd be a blushing mess and most likely say it seemed an odd place to get it. At least that's what Saveli worried he might say. So it was a secret. The seventeen year old had only just come back from her shed - playing with plants being an anxiety reducer of hers - when she heard a knock at the door. It had to be him. Saveli moved quickly to clean up by washing her hands and checking herself one more time in the full length mirror she'd bought for the hallway. She didn't look too badly.

Saveli moved to the door and opened it with a bright smile. "Good afternoon!" She greeted kindly.

Art and Tattoos were Javed's favourite things in the world, and his first choices for an escape from all of his problems. But he had to admit that spending time with Saveli was a third or even a close second choice of his since they had become reacquainted. She was a sweet girl that gave him the familiarity of his orphanage days with none of the sadness and she was also amazing company. Not once did Javed ever think both his love of art and Saveli's company would collide and that he would be visiting her home to discuss giving her a tattoo, let alone testing a design on her body. But he was happy to arrive to her front door that day to do just that. He stopped after reaching her doorstep, placed his small case of equipment on the poch next to his feet and knocked politely on the door - unsurprised when Saveli soon opened it with a bright smile on her face.

"Afternoon to you too, Saveli."
Javed greeted in return, looking the girl up and down. He wanted to match her smile but found himself being unable to. He instead smirked at her appearance while wondering where exactly she wanted her tattoo to be. "Should we begin?" He asked, picking up the case and nodding in the direction behind Saveli's shoulder, waiting for her to invite him into her home.

"Not much for formalities adn tours, eh?" She asked with a giggle. The blonde moved back and made a swooping motion with her arm. "Go ahead and shut the door behind you, Jay." She spoke, moving into the stairs. The older styled house was home to Saveli and while she felt that a tour would have been nice, she didn't feel it was necessary. The blonde moved up the stairs leaving time for Javeed to follow her, and then moving to her room. "So, I was thinking that I wanted a tattoo on my sternum. I wore a bikini top to do the testing I hope that's okay?" She inquired, before shrugging off her button up, which she'd been working on undoing since she'd started up the stairs. "What would be easier for you. I think that my writing desk could be laid on if you wanted to sit on the chair, or I could lay on the floor?" She asked, not sure how to go about this.

Javed simply shook his head at Saveli's comment about formalities, then shut the door behind him after stepping into the house. He wasn't the kind of person to beat around the bush or participate in small talk - such things seemed pointless when there was a task at hand and Javed's task that day required his full attention. Most tattoos did as it was art permanently marked on a person's body. This was only a test of a design but customer care and satisfaction were equally as important as they would be if he were giving her a proper tattoo that day. Formalities were on the back burner in comparison to anything else.

He followed Saveli into her room, placing his equipment on the floor and nodding as she explained where she wanted her tattoo to be. The sternum was not the most painless place to get a tattoo, but Javed had faith that Saveli could handle it. She was strong and determined which was all she needed. He opened his mouth to respond to her, but stopped himself as she shrugged off her shirt. After being momentarily dumbfounded, he regained his composure, shaking his head a second time before speaking. "Ahem, that's fine. I need you to be laying flat and elevated from the ground, so the desk would be better if you don't have any kind of reclining chair." He turned around and knelt on the floor to open his kit and retrieve his non permanent ink and pen, giving Saveli some privacy if she wanted it. When he turned back to her, he opened the bottle of ink and placed it on the writing table. "When I usually work on a tattoo, I make a sort of stencil and use it as a guideline for the needle, but since this is just a test do you mind if I draw the design directly onto you?" He continued to keep his eyes away from Saveli as he spoke, not wanting to make her uncomfortable with staring or cross any boundaries despite how much he secretly wanted to.

Saveli was distracted, a perhaps a little naive to anyone actually taking interest in her. Frankly she'd started to believe she should become a nun - considering Reuben's quick escape after they'd kissed. After all, if all her relationships were that way why should she expect anyone to look at her romantically - or even as someone attractive. "Sorry for now the desk is all i have! But I'm sure we can do things at a parlour or with more equipment next time!" Saveli moved to lay down on the desk, the thing long enough even for her fairly tall frame. Saveli was no giant but at 5'7" it took a long desk - one that she had.

Saveli turned her head, blonde hair spread beneath her, splayed wide showing the nuances in darker and lighter streaks. She nodded as Jay talked before smiling. "Do as you will. While we've got the house to ourselves I'll be a canvas. Just let me know if I'm breathing too hard or moving too much okay?" she asked, wanting to make the test drawing as easy as possible - though she was sure it was going to tickle like heck. The blonde moved her head again, green eyes pointed at the ceiling in wait.

Javed nodded at Saveli's words, then picked the concept sketch of her design from his kit, placing it next to the ink on the desk before he moved his leg to shuffle the chair closer to him. He sat down, leant to swirl the calligraphy pen in the ink, before leaning over to Saveli. "This might be a little cold." He gave her a glance, nodded, then moved his eyes to the reference sketch. After studying it momentarily he moved both hands to Saveli's sternum, using his free hand to keep her still while his hand holding the pen began to imitate the design.

Javed kept his breathing even, and attempted to recreate the design as accurately as possible. An expression of pure concentration was etched on his face as he worked on the design, beginning with the basic outline, then adding the smaller details one by one. He didn't realize the silence that fell in the room until he sat back in his chair, returned his pen to the bottle of ink, and moved his eyes back to Saveli's face. He wanted to comment on it, but instead chose to keep their conversation on topic and professional. He wasn't about to treat Saveli different to any other client because he knew her as a friend - even if the thought nagged the back of his mind. "I haven't done shading yet, but I've finished the basic outline and details. Do you want to have a look and see what you think, now?" He asked. "I can make changes if you don't like it."

Saveli sat under the cold touch of his art kit. There was a soothing gentleness of the tip of his pen against her sternum and ribs. Saveli's breathing was shallow, careful not to breathe suddenly or shudder under the tip of the pen. She didn't want to mess up the design on her, permanent or not. After all the idea of a tattoo was permanent in her mind, and the better this looked the better an idea she had. The blonde glanced to her friend and smile slightly, his face screwed up in concentration was almost adorable. She thought of saying something but didn't want to destroy his concentration.

When Javed was done Saveli stood gently so as to look in the full length mirror which hung on the wall of her bedroom. Sav admired herself, smiling in the mirror. "You are so ridiculously talented. This is beautiful." She spoke turning to face him so he too could look at the sketch on her skin.
