[justify]Leaving the house to find a cure for boredom rather than to find an escape was all too different for Archie after the last two years but it was a welcome change. He could leave the house with some money in his pocket to walk to the nearest Ice cream shop in Wizarding Sydney without worrying about the home he would return to and the relief as well as the excitement he felt to eat delicious ice cream put a spring in the Gryffindor's step. The spring continued to affect his walking even as he arrived to the ice cream shop and left with a cone in his hand which he licked with a wide smile on his face. It was an unusually hot day in Sydney despite it being winter so Archie had no qualms about sitting on the beachfront wall as he continued to lick his delicious sherbet fizzy ice cream, watching the beach goers and quietly staring at the good looking surfer men from afar while his long legs dangled above the sand. As it was Wade's first time back in Sydney in many years since he was a child, he wanted to go to the beach. Boston lacked them entirely so even though the weather was not the best for surfing to his own standards, which he couldn't do anyway, or swimming he was keen to have the sand between his toes. Maybe he'd even see good looking guys who were a little more daring with the cool water than he was. Wade walked down from his father's new apartment to the nearest beach and as he was taking his shoes off to walk along the water he saw another boy, clearly checking out other people while enjoying some ice cream. Tempted to approach, Wade decided to do something better and get the attention he deserved from the other boy. Wade walked down the steps and sure to be in the eye sight of the blond he walked past him, attempting to be as smooth as can be but when he noticed that he wasn't getting the same looks the surfers were Wade pouted and turned to try once more but again the other boy seemed entirely focused on someone else. Finding himself now irritated that he wasn't the object of this stranger's desire, Wade decided to approach him and asked of him, "Do you need glasses?" Clearly Wade had a huge ego but he felt it was deserved so he waited for the boy's reaction before speaking or doing something else. |

[justify]Archie was endlessly thankful for the shirtless men dotted along the beach on that surprisingly warm winters day. He took turns admiring each man in his eyesight, rating them in his mind and allowing himself to make up stories about their lives as he sat on the concrete wall. He was unfortunately interrupted from the fun of his imagination while mid-lick of his ice cream by a boy asking if he needed glasses. It would have confused the Gryffindor if he wasn't too busy looking the other boy up and down to notice. As he eyed the boy much like he had eyed the men on the beach he paused his licking on the ice cream entirely as he gathered his thoughts. He wasn't sure why the boy was talking to him or even asking him a question when he was keeping to himself so he returned to licking his ice cream slowly while keeping eye contact with the boy as he gathered up a response. "What?" He said as he moved the ice cream cone away from his mouth, finally realizing the question and letting his brows furrow slightly as he stared the other boy down. The question took a while for Archie to register, and when it did he was most definitely confused. "I don't need glasses?" He responded as more of a question than a statement because he wasn't sure what the boy was asking. [/justify] |

[justify]Wade watched the boy he didn't know from atom and yet he had been so daring to strut right over to him, demanding something for not being given the proper attention. Truthfully Wade wasn't quite sure what he was demanding but that had never stopped him before. The American boy's gaze dipped from the set of eyes to a mouth - particularly on ice cream. He smirked then proceeded to chew on his bottom lip, toying with the many thoughts looming in his head but finally settled on the clueless boy's remark. "You must," Wade insisted. "Otherwise why would you bother looking at him over someone just a little closer?" He nodded his head in the vague direction of the last man who had clearly caught the red head's eye despite the very obvious clues that he was straight as a peg.[/justify] |

[justify]Archie's brow creased deeper but then raised when he realized what the other boy was referring to. The man he had been staring at before being interrupted was toned to the core and half wearing a wet suit as he was surfing only minutes earlier. It was only a natural instinct for Archie to pay attention to the beauty the beach was gifting to him that day, the surfing men in particular but now that his mind was slowly connecting the dots to what the other boy was saying he realized who his eyes should have been fixed on and why exactly it seemed like he needed glasses. Archie smiled with enthusiasm at the other boy and moved his hand to pat the surface of the concrete wall next to him. "Then you should get closer to me!" He said with a slight chuckle to his words as he returned his gaze to the beach and continued to lick the ice cream in his other hand. He savored the fizzy, slightly sour yet sickly sweet taste of his ice cream for another moment before offering it to the other boy. "Want some?" He asked. [/justify] |

Wade wad admittedly very pleased with himself and the other boy when the suggestion for him to move closer came up. A small smirk fell onto his lips as he looked over at the boy before he too fell into a chuckle as well. The Bostonian was feeling rather full of himself and yet had been taken back by the offer of shared ice cream and yet he took him up on it and looked at the blond, steading his hand with Wade's own while he took a lick of the treat on the warm winter's day. The boy's cheeks rouged as he let his hand free and said, "Thanks, it's delicious." Wade licked his lips to make sure there was none left, he didn't want to commit a faux-pas, after all. "I'm Wade," he introduced, hoping to move their meeting to a less awkward place, although the boy he sat beside didn't seem phased at all by it. In fact he seemed like he would keep going with this until one or both of them were too uncomfortable to bare. |
