Professor Black was sitting at her desk, waiting patiently for her students to all arrive. On every desk there was a chalk board eraser. Some students seem puzzled when they noticed them, but no one commented. The woman smiled ever so slightly as she looked at her watch, deciding it was time to start the lesson.

"Let's get right to work. We are going to begin to vanish things this week. Shouldn't be too hard to practice on these - unlike other things to come, this week we will be working on things that don't move." She said with a hint of mystery, letting them wonder what they would be doing later in the term. Walking around, Professor Black looked at her students, motioning to the object in front of them. "So, we are starting with erasers and will move up from there. This is a pretty straight forward spell, it just takes a bit more magic to work it than your normal transfiguration." Having made it back to her desk, she picked up an eraser.

"The wand movement is the standard three tap method. You do not need to say the item that is being vanished, but you do need to focus on it. If you are not concentrating on the object, you may vanish the wrong thing." She smiled, then demonstrated the spell to them. Tapping the eraser three times, she then said "Evanesco!" and made the eraser disappear. Smiling she looked up to the class and spoke again. "There are enough extra erasers for you to practice again if you wish. I will be walking around if you need any help."

With that, she allowed the students to begin to work.

Seeking Comfort ll Dead Inside ll Everyone's Leaving

Week two and still no sign of Nate. Worry had turned to anger, as she was sure the boy could be no where but on an adventure. The woman had now decided to break things off with him, and would find a way, if not by just moving on. Sitting down in a huff the woman attempted to make herself a bit less upset so she could concentrate. The woman removed quills, ink, and parchment from her bag so that she could begin taking notes. Everything would come in handy for her finals tests she was sure. After all, she was coming close to taking the most important exams of her life.

Prue obtained an eraser and moved back to her desk, finding that standing in front of it made her more confident. She removed her wand, happy to not have even needed to take any notes. "Three taps." She whispered to her self. One. Two. Three "Evanesco!" She recited the same way she'd bee practicing all week, the same way the professor had taught. Before her eyes the eraser faded in an out of existence, as if a light in it was flickering. Prudence tried once more with the same production, and then finally thrice for the eraser to disappear. Excited she left the class, after showing off her work.

After the introduction of last lesson Paige was looking forward to putting the vanishing spell into action. She took her seat in the classroom and eagerly waited to see whay they would be making disappear. Erasers, an easy start to no doubt difficulty would increase as the weeks went on. Paige was happy that she didn't have to take any notes and would be getting straight to business. She picked up a handful of erasers and took them over to her desk. The Ravenclaw took out her wand a tapped it over the erasers, "Evanesco," she muttered, the erasers disappeared before her eyes. Paige resisted the urge to cheer in the middle of the class and instead focused on trying it again, she made a second eraser disappear and then a third. When Paige was confident she had mastered it she finished up for the day and packed up and left the classroom.

[justify]Orwell had a lot he was dealing with, there was nothing quite like supporting his friends as they worked on what they needed, while he balanced his club with the event he was hoping on throwing, it had begun working towards it as soon as he'd figured out what he wanted to do, and was already pouring over the right books that he needed for it. He had been working hard on what he needed and was looking forward to being able to start the building process of it, he'd already enlisted the help of Archie in organising the different members of the wild patch club and giving the tasks they could do so that they could efficiently get everything ready for the event, it was a good method of doing things he thought, he was just trying to make sure that all of that was ready for the upcoming event while also attempting to keep himself ready his classes which were still a lot of work when all things considered. He was pretty happy with it, but it was still a lot of work. Orwell ran a hand through the fading green hair as he left the dorm room to head for the classroom.

Orwell took a seat in the classroom, his own reading for the spell they'd be doing had turned up nothing really, he'd been faced with just another situation where he knew he'd be forced to either do the spell or to fail and he really didn't like failing, he was sure that being kicked out of another class might not look good in the future, since Orwell was beginning to think of his future in a much different way that before. He looked to the professor as she began the lesson, telling them what they'd be doing, erasing out erasers in a round about way, once the lesson was handed over to them the boy grabbed two erasers and took them back to his desk before pointing his wand at one of them, he tapped three times before uttering, "Evanesco," the eraser faded instantly and the teen found himself smiling a little at this, however his joy was short lived since he couldn't imagine doing that to an animal. He didn't want to, but for now all he had to focus on was the eraser and so he did the spell a second time once again succeeding. Soon after the lesson ended and Orwell was able to leave.

Former Ravenclaw and Head Boy, Class of 2043 | Unspeakable

[justify]Isaiah was working hard, he had been working to improve his quidditch, get back on track with studying and spend time with his siblings while balancing all that with his new duties as a prefect, he knew that being a prefect would be hard but it wasn't so much hard but just something else to balance with the other aspects of his life still currently happening and it meant he had a lot of work to do on any given day. Thankfully it was already the second week and the boy was finding it easier and easier to balance all of the aspects of his life, and it probably helped that almost every evening he was dedicating some time to studying after he spent his usual alloted time on the pitch, more so than anything, with the beginning of the quidditch tournament looming and his first game happening he need the practicing to be a very common thing which he did. With that in mind the boy was getting ready for class, he had his quidditch gear ready to go and all of his books within his bag, just ready to face the day and then also practice.

Isaiah had realised in his reading that the vanishing spell would eventually lead to them doing things on creatures animals and such, and while Isaiah had no issue with that, as he stepped in the room, the teen could only imagine the issues which he knew Archie's friend would have with it, if torturing a spider had been anything to base this opinion on. Isaiah looked up at the professor as she began explaining what they would be doing, giving a brief introduction to the lesson and then turning the lesson over to them so that they could do the spell. The teen took a couple of the erasers from the pile which the professor had indicated they take from and returned to his desk, he placed them out far apart and then pointed his wand at the first, tapping it three times before saying, "Evanesco," the eraser vanished and he repeated the spell twice more. feeling like the spell wasn't too complex but that also he was doing it on small items, items that were easy to cast spells upon. With that however the lesson was over, and with no homework the teen just gathered up his things and left the room.

Zach was looking forward to Transfiguration because he was looking forward to making something disappear. He made his way inside the classroom and took his seat. Professor Black took some time to explain what they would be doing and what they would be doing it on. Erasers, Zach smiled, in part glad he didn't have to take notes and part because he really wanted to practice the vanishing spell. When Professor Black was finished talking she set the class off on their task. Zach picked up a couple of erasers and took them to his desk. He pulled out his wand and tapped it three times over one of the erasers. "Evanesco, he muttered, amazingly the erasers disappeared first time. He tried it another couple of times to make sure it wasn't a fluke. Each eraser vanished on the first time of asking. Smiling to himself as he packed up he was looking forward to trying something bigger in their next lesson. He placed his wand back in his robe and picked up his bag to leave the classroom once they were dismissed.

Carlotta Love To Give
[ * * ]
[justify]It was the second week of classes, and there was still no Emily by her side. The Hufflepuff wasn't sure what she was supposed to do to get Emily to join her. They could talk all they liked, and hang out in the dorms before it was time to sleep and eat together, but after Nathanial, Carlotta had expected to have Emily strapped to her side, but it seemed she had been misinformed, and it was more like she was being pushed away. She decided in the end to give her some space - her sister would talk to her when she wanted, and probably not before that time at all. It was a difficult stance to take, but one that needed to be taken regardless. Besides, none of that mattered now - she had classes to think abut, and Transfiguration was certainly one of them.

Last lesson they had vaguely touched on Evanesco, and she was sure to bring her wand this time for some much anticipated magic casting. It was part of the whole reason why she liked courses such as Charms, Transfiguration and the others - the practical side of the learning was by far more intense and interesting than any theory possibly could. Taking out her wand, she tapped the air three times just above the eraser, focusing all of her attention on it. naturally, she wanted to do a good job, and succeed and succeed quickly, as there really wasn't much room for her to fail. "Evanesco." On smaller items, the spell didn't seem that complex at all, and the eraser vanished before her eyes. She performed just the same a couple more times, and as the class drew to a close, she packed up her things and left that classroom.

After the last lesson, Alex had started to feel a little bit better about the Transfiguration classes that he would be undertaking at the school. There was a lot that he had to do in order to catch up on the years that he hadn't been at the school for. There was a lot that his other classmates had learned without him, and a lot that his parents should have taught him. When he took his seat in the classroom, he smiled at his professor and then took out his wand. He tapped three times, said the incantation, and watched as the erasers each vanished in turn. Smiling, he left the classroom and headed to the common room.
