Lesson 6 Effie sat at her desk waiting patiently for her Fifth Year Students to arrive for their lest lesson of Arithmancy until their Sixth Year comes for them. Pretty soon they would all be taking their OWL’s and she could only hope they all did well on them for all subjects and not just on her own which was considerably easy as long as one paid attention in their classes. It would be the deciding factor that would decide whether they have had Growth since they started in their Third year or if maybe they just weren’t cut out for something as mind boggling as this subject. When it appeared that all of the class had arrived, Effie stood up from her desk and walk in front of it so she could smile at them softly for a moment; oddly enough she felt sentimental knowing that they soon would be leaving this school. “In today's lesson we will focus on a major element in Arithmancy called the Maturity Number. The Maturity Number is created by blending two Core Elements, your Life Path and your Expression.” Effie started class, this was a particularly interesting part of Arithmancy to her so she knew she was going to enjoy teaching this almost as much would enjoy a bar of chocolate. Professor Kingston began to pace a little because it helped her think when she went off on lectures. ”The Maturity Number acknowledges possible ways an individual may contribute back to the universe with their unique expressions, creations, and the knowledge cultivated from their life. This number is also an indicator of a meaningful, satisfying, and happy life in latter years. Therefore, as we enter the latter years of life--after gaining knowledge, learning how to balance our energies, and becoming more self aware--this vibration engages within us and begins to express outwardly.” Professor Kingston knew for a fact that this what had gotten he interested in Arithmancy so many years ago, before her Fifth year she hadn’t really paid attention to the class at all and sometimes that went against her now as she went back and thought about it. ”At this stage in your life, the Life Path, Heart's Desire, and Expression vibrations have a much greater influence on your day to day lives. The Maturity number is known to have an impact during adolescence and entry into the adult world before truly manifesting itself later in life. You have probably already found yourself considering questions about your future. Can you keep up the same energy through the rest of your life? What lies ahead and what may present itself to assist in making life easier in the future? Where may you find happiness, opportunity, and satisfaction? The Maturity Number really is a promise that you charted out for your latter years. It will lead you in directions where you can attain fulfillment, purpose, and reward.” Effie took a breath after that long lecture and pointed her wand at the board that was now behind her so she could properly explain how to Calculate the Maturity number. Professor Kingston had found that the reason she often found Arithmancy so creepy was because it seemingly had the ability to tell you your future or inner most thoughts without you barely knowing it. When the class time had run short and it was time for the Firth years to leave she didn’t hesitate to wave them off with another soft smile.
