Professor Kingston sat at her wooden desk, carefully filling out the proper Grades in her gradebook for the Sixth Year class she was currently teaching. They were very bright students so she did not worry at all about their upcoming exam in the following week, today would be their last day of Arithmancy as sixth years and so they would be moving on to the big picture of being Seventh Years. ”You have all done very well with your calculations and interpretations of the first two Pinnacles and I am pleased to say that we will be able to cover not only the third, but also the fourth and final Pinnacles in today's lesson.” Professor Kingston started as she stood up from her desk and walked in front of her desk which she leaned against and stared at all of them carefully, it was hard to believe the Semester with them had gone by so fast.

”The Third Pinnacle is a nine year period that follows immediately upon the conclusion of the Second Pinnacle, a time that many might refer to as middle age being that is generally the a person's late thirties and early fourties. This can be an incredibly productive period of one's life and is usually characterized by a more global understanding of the world in general. It is found, quite simply, by adding your First Pinnacle and Second Pinnacle values together and reducing them to a single digit if so required." Point her wand at the board, some notes began to appear and Effie gave the class a look that clearly showed that they should write this down or something.

Notes

Example:
Example:
Birthdate of November 8, 1993

First Pinnacle (Month + Day)
(1 + 1) + 8 =
2 + 8 = 10
1 + 0 = 1
Therfore, First Pinnacle is One

Second Pinnacle (Day + Year)
8 + (1 + 9 + 9 + 3) =
8 + 22 = 30
3 + 0 = 3
Therfore, Second Pinnacle is Three

Third Pinnacle (First Pinnacle + Second Pinnacle)
1 + 3 = 4
Therfore, Third Pinnacle is Four!
After a couple of minute’s had passed and Professor Kingston thought the students were finished copying down these notes she started to speak to them once again. “The Fourth Pinnacle is often explained as the winter cycle, a period when we embrace deeper fulfillment as we expand our awareness to include a broader definition of spiritual understanding. This is an integrative time of life. The last Pinnacle wants to bring rewards and opportunities to use the knowledge gained through our life's experience. This period will last through the end of our existence and just like the unpredictability of the seasons, can be unnaturally brief or unfathomably long. However, it is found simply enough by adding the month and year of one's birth."

Notes

Example:

Birthdate of November 8, 1993

Fourth Pinnacle (Month + Year)

(1 + 1) + (1 + 9 + 9 + 3) =
2 + 22 = 24
2 + 4 = 6
Therfore, the Fourth Pinnacle is Six
Once all that had been said and done her last lecture for the Sixth years was finished and so was her last lecture for the Semester, she could only hope everyone would study for their upcoming exams. ”I wish you all luck on your upcoming exams and look forward to seeing you all next year! You are dismissed." Effie waved them off but would be willing to answer any of their last minute questions if needed, the sixth years got it off lucky with not having to worry about OWL’s or NEWT’s but extra practice could never hurt them a little.

Homework:
1. RP the lesson.
2. Calculate your Third Pinnacle and the timing of when it will begin.

Aaren Nightray made her way to her Arithmancy class. She enjoyed the class, and though the calculations could be quite confusing and the lectures a little difficult to understand, she was having fun attending it. The professor was quite nice and the lessons were quite interesting really. Once inside the classroom, she made her way to her usual seat and brought out her writing utensils to prepare to take down notes. Her memory wasn't as sharp as her cousin's and thus, she knew that she had to take notes otherwise she might forget some of the details of their lessons.

She listened attentively as their professor began the lesson. Because it was their last meeting before the exam, it seemed that instead of learning about one pinnacle at a time, they would be talking about two pinnacles in this lesson. Determined to do well, she turned her full attention to their professor. She copied the notes that appeared on the board, making sure that her handwriting was readable enough. After all, what use would it be to take notes if she wouldn't be able to understand her own handwriting? Once their professor was done discussing the lesson, the Gryffindor proceeded to calculating her pinnacles. The rest of the class went fast and soon, they were dismissed. She packed up her things and left the room but not before thanking their professor for the wonderful semester.
