This was the Seventh Year's last class before exams. Though sad to see them go, Professor Summers was confident that his students would be able to do well on their NEWTs. Well, most of them, at least. The majority of his class had excelled throughout the year. It made him proud. As he sat behind the desk, he prepared to grade and return their pages that day so they would be ready to go. They were not covering anything today that was taught this year, but he wanted to make sure they reviewed that on their own. As soon as the class was present he rose from his armchair and began. "Today is your last Transfiguration class! You should all be very proud. You have done something that no other students in this castle can claim. You have completed seven years of Transfiguration, have accomplished Switching, Vanishing and Conjuration, and are prepared to take the NEWT. Congratulations!" He made a wave with his wand and their previous revision sheets flew to the proper desks, marked with green or red ink. "Your work from last week was excellent as always. You will be ready for anything that we throw at you on the NEWT." With a nod, he turned and picked up the last review stack. "I have one simple change for this week. I ask that you stay while I grade your paper so that you may have it for review. After you have your page back, you are free to go. While you wait, I've prepared a celebratory End-Of-Class feast." As he handed the last paper out, he turned and waved his wand toward the far side of the room, illuminating a large table full of delicious food and desserts, a stack of plates and cutlery, and party hats. Finished, he made his way to his desk once again. Sitting down, he surveyed the class one final time, before setting to work of his own, sifting through parchment to prepare his Menagerie stock for the holidays.

Now, it was the week of study, or revision, unless the professor was cruel. Bryce Chamberlin walked into the classroom he had to be in, and found his seat in a hurry. The burden of the NEWTs hung over his shoulders like no tomorrow. He let out a sigh as he looked at the professor, wondering what they had to do today. He hoped that they would have to study. He looked at his peers and wondered who all were worried about the exams coming up. He was one of those that was worried. Bryce looked ahead at the professor’s lips and read what the seventh years were expected to do for today. He smiled to himself and got right to work. He received his last quiz and looked over it. He thought that he did okay. He remembered everything well enough. He got out his quill and a bottle of ink before he got right to work on the last and final quiz. This was a little better than studying for a period. This would be worth a grade. He wrote down his answers neatly, before handing it in. He hoped that he did all right, and for now he would practice on conjuring flowers, since conjuring birds seem like a hassle.

Nikandros Matthias was rather pumped for this week because that meant that freedom was just around the corner. Not much longer to go now. He needed the freedom away from the walls of this school. He walked into the classroom once more, and the final time for the semester. Well, until exams come around. But that was a whole different section. Nikandros sat down at his seat and waited for the lesson to begin. He looked at Professor Summers as he greeted the class. They would have to do another quiz. He received the last one with good marks, which made Nikandros smirk with arrogance, before he got started on the new one. This one was even easier because he did not have to remember that far back. This was only within the last year, from what he could remember. He finished the quiz as quick as he could so that he could practice vanishing and conjuring. He would conjure and vanish for the remainder of the period. That way, he could practice both.

Damon Kyle looked forward to this lesson, because it was Transfiguration, and the professor was pretty cool. He could turn into a dog whenever he wanted, so that was awesome. He looked forward to his lesson, be it something like studying like the rest of the classes were doing right now. He looked at the professor once more and found his seat. He made sure that he had his wand on him and the rest of his materials. He received his quiz from the previous lesson, and he saw all the good checks on it. He beamed as he got all of his answers right! He got to work on the new one in front of him. This one was a little easier than the last one, and much easier than the first quiz. This all happened within a last couple of years. It was just easier to remember that way. Once he finished writing his answers down, he turned in the quiz and practiced on conjuring up some water. He had issues with that one, but now he could practice it!

The thing about the sixth week was that the classes normally had a study period. That is, most of the time. Sergei Zhefarovich felt that it wold not be the case this time. He figured that Transfiguration would have another class of revision seeing the last two years were not covered yet. Sergei made his way into the classroom and found himself a seat in the back of the room as per usual. He took out a book and started to read. He figured that it would take a little bit for the other seventh years to make their way into the classroom. He loomed over the book he was reading, which he made sure that no one could see either. He hated it when people were nosy and could not mind their own business. However, Professor Summers started up the lesson for the day, and Sergei received the quiz from the last week. They had another one to prepare. He got started on it, and just like the other quizzes, he handed it in without wasting a moment of time. He read from the textbook for the remainder of class, preferring to study that way instead of practicing.
