Professor Summers approached the classroom early for his first lesson with the newest seventh years, a year-group he was unsure of what to expect from given they were now all technically adults. He was surprised however, to see a few had also rocked up early and waited patiently outside the classroom entrance. The professor gave them a grin and waved them through as he entered the door, taking up his seat at the back of the classroom. He took a moment to spread out his lesson plan across the desk and idly chatted with a few of the early-birds until more students arrived and seated themselves around the classroom. In no time at all, every was present.

"Good morning, and welcome back to another year of Transfiguration! I'm Professor Aeon Summers, though you don't need to refer to me with that title, and I'll be taking over all of Professor Black's classes for this year. It's a pleasure to meet you all." he said brightly, getting to his feet and wandering around to the front of his desk as he spoke."I know you all have your N.E.W.Ts coming up at the end of the year, so I'll try and keep the subject as stress-free as possible. We do have a lot of new topics to get through, but a good portion of the lessons will be revision from previous years we can just cruise through. Anyway, let's get started."

Summers glanced back towards the blackboard taking up the wall behind him and gave his wand a quick flick. The dormant chalk immediately jumped to life, frantically scrawling words across the board's surface. "Today we'll start off with Un-Transfiguration and Reversal Spells." he began, lowering his wand and returning his attention back towards the students. "Un-Transfiguration is, as you might think, restoring something to its original form. For example...lets say you changed a book into a bird, or a rat into a wine glass. Un-Transfiguration is used to reverse the transformation. Essentially, Untransfiguration is a type of Reversal Spell." he explained. He spent a few more minutes briefly talking about the subject, before deciding it was time to move on to something more exciting.

"Alright, time to move on. I assume you all studied conjuring last year, yeah? Little bouquets of flowers and filling cups with water, things like that. Today we'll be brushing up on those skills and attempting conjuration of chairs. As always, concentration is key." The wizard grinned and pushed himself from his desk, turning on the spot to flick his wand at the boring, old wooden seat resting behind it. It slid a few meters across the room, coming to a stop with a soft bump against the far wall. He followed the action up with three taps in the air in front of him. A second later, a large silver throne materialized. The Professor lounged back into its comfortable plush seating. "You guys will be conjuring up some simple chairs. Plain, wooden, nothing too detailed is best to begin with. If you're feeling confident in your abilities, then feel free to get a little more complex. Remember to picture exactly what you want in your minds eye with as much attention to detail as possible. As always, this is a non-verbal spell and you need to use the general three-tap rule. As soon as you've conjured a chair, bring it to me at the front for testing to make sure its stable and usable. Any questions?" Summers asked, looking over the classroom. Seeing that everyone understood, he smiled widely. "Well then, begin! I'll be watching from here. In my throne."

RP the Lesson. Feel free to include an image of your chair if you decide to get more detailed.

[justify]     Kelsey Ariyah Boneheart had recently been through a rather bad breakup. Well, it wasn't officially a breakup, because they actually hadn't said the words, but it was definitely as good as. She'd been avoiding him since being back in Hogwarts, but she supposed she was going to have to see him at some point. If just for the sake of having some closure. Still, it wasn't all bad. She'd saved her holiday by meeting up with Abel in Australia, that had been pretty amazing actually. He'd helped them look for Dropbears, though she still didn't believe that they existed. They still hadn't found one and personally she kind of wanted to prove to her silly brother that they weren't real. Kelsey was still kind of bitter over the whole ordeal of the holidays, but she was slowly coming to terms with it and she had no doubt that she would be feeling better really soon. Walking into the Transfiguration classroom, Kelsey looked around and found her seat. She hadn't really been paying much attention to things in this class, but she knew she had to work hard if she had any eyes on actually graduation with decent grades at the end of the year.

The Professor was different. Not the one she'd had previously. She raised an eyebrow. Perhaps the Professor was ill, or had taken some time off? This was the first she was hearing about a new Professor. Was this Professor only here for a year? That was okay, he was cute. Kelsey could see that both subjectively and objectively. He was really young too. Well, not really young, but young enough. There was no way he was thirty yet. No way. Kelsey wondered if he was an animagus too. It seemed to be a requirement for this position. It would make sense. Only the people at the very top of their skill could become an animagus and how could you teach others to be an animagus if you were not one. It definitely made sense. The lesson officially started and Kelsey quickly took down all the notes she could. Was that a slight accent she was hearing. She's spent enough time between, England, Australia and New Zealand to be able to pick up on the subtle differences one achieved when spending their lives going from country to country. She was pretty positive that this Professor had spent some time in Australia. Who would have thought she'd ever actually get any thing back from those silly accent studies she'd taken back home?

Kelsey followed the lesson as best she could. But she was still distracted from her holiday shemozzles and wasn't really paying as much attention as she should have been. She nearly made it through the lesson when she realised she was crying and likely had been for the past five minutes. Rubbing at her eyes, Kelsey gathered her books and left the classroom before the lesson was over. She would return later with an apology, but right now, she just couldn't do it.
