Professor Black was seated on the edge of her desk, waiting for the students to enter. She smiled at them as they each came in, and once they were all seated, she stood tall and began class. "Welcome. I want to congratulate you all for your efforts last week, and the success that you had. This week, we are going to work on another practical transfiguration. We will be conjuring flowers." With a wave of her wand, she brought forth a bouquet of tulips into her hand. "Now I am sure that any of the gentlemen in the class will be glad to impress their dates with this skill, or their mothers," she said smiling. "Personally, I love to be able to decorate with fresh flowers anytime I wish. The type of flower you conjure will be limited only by your ability to imagine. Just like with any conjuring spell, success is in the details. I want you to look at these tulips. Look at all the intricate details each flower contains." She handed the flowers out as she walked around the room. "You must picture this in your mind clearly and precisely to create a successful flower." Returning to the front of the room, she tapped the board and the word 'Orchideous' appeared. "The spell we will be using today is Orchideous. I would like everyone to repeat that please." Professor Black listened as the students repeated the word for her. "Excellent. I will be walking around as always so please go ahead and try to conjure up another tulip to match the one I handed you. Once you have that accomplished, you may feel free to conjure up any other flower if there is time left. If you need a model to work from, just let me know." She sat down on top of her desk, watching for any issues that may arise. Homework: Just the rp. Feel free to include images if you wish to. |

Witty - Loosening Up

Nikandros Matthias knew that this week would be quite boring. Sometimes he had the thoughts that this was the middle of the semester. The middle lesson before the next two lessons before a study lesson. Unless the class was lame and taught on the last week before exams. Nikandros shook his head as he entered the classroom that he had to be in with the other sixth years, almost missing the separation with the four houses. But at least like this, he would be able to see that one girl that he was hoping to date, which was Alaska. He wanted to be with her, but he had to get to it soon. Well, it was really depending on who, and how they wore it. Shrugging, he settled in the seat before he got ready for the class to eventually begin. Nikandros was impatient to hurry and leave. Professor Black conjured some flowers for demonstration. Nikandros rolled his eyes at the thought of a guy conjuring flowers in order to impress their girls, or their mothers. They were told how to conjure the flowers, how everything to detail was needed, and everything had to be perfect. Nikandros hoped that he could conjure some orchids or something that he actually liked. He mouthed the word, but his voice was mute. Nikandros looked at the tulip, and he got out his wand. He cleared his mind, and he could picture a tulip, just like the model. He then intoned the spell. A tulip came out of the wand, and he looked at the conjured tulip that he had carried. He thought that it looked good enough, but when he tried to conjure orchids, all he could do was conjure some petals. He let out a sigh, before he waited to be dismissed. Once they were, he went toward his dorm, to practice some more. |

Finally, the third week of lessons, and Damon Kyle looked forward to the rest of the semester with the other students. Well, he was not sure if they looked forward to exams. Alas, he entered the classroom, and found himself at ease with the subject that he was going to be learning soon. Damon really wanted to just sit down and get started! Damon found his seat in the front of the class, and he settled in near his best friend and her ex-boyfriend. He waited for the others to arrive which was getting closer and closer. He was one of the first ones to come in here, out of all of the sixth years anyway. Sixth years were plentiful for some reason, and then when one looked at the older students, it was not so much! Oh well, it was something he looked forward to. He waited for the lesson to begin at last. The Hufflepuff Prefect wondered what all they were going to be conjuring now, but whatever it was, it had to be good! Damon smiled warmly as he was informed that they were going to be conjuring flowers. That was going to be amazing! He always loved flowers, or anything girly like that! He received a gorgeous tulip and he studied the features intensely. The spell’s name was Orchideous as well. He repeated it with the class and he was glad that he got it right anyway. So once they were free to conjure the tulip, Damon made sure that he had every detail to match before he attempted it. After the third try, he managed a tulip instead of a steam or a petal. He handed it to the professor before they were told that they were dismissed. He smiled and he was glad that he managed that spell! |

The third week of lessons was just like the Wednesday of the week. Right in the middle and right between the start of the year, and the end of the year. It really sucked, and Sergei Zhefarovich hated it. He wanted to go home and go enjoy himself. However right now, it just seemed like they were going to be doing nothing good in Transfiguration, however he knew that in order to pass, he would have to pretend to like it and take notes when he could. Sergei walked further into the classroom and found his seat in the back like per usual. Sergei’s eyes drifted up to the professor and noticed on how he was the head of house, which made him need to try harder. It was annoying as hell. Well, the class would begin soon as the class started to fill up with other sixth years that were eager to learn this crap. The first thing that Professor Black said to the class was congratulations with the efforts that they put forth last week. All the sixth years did was conjure water, was that such a good thing? And this week, they were going to be conjuring flowers. Sergei rolled eyes since he thought that was really ridiculous. Though what she said next made him wonder if Valentina would even enjoy some flowers conjured by him. She might like it, but he was not sure. He could think of whatever flowers he needed and decided to go with forget-me-nots. He knew that they grew in gardens but that was the only flower that he knew that was not horribly clichéd like roses or tulips. They were given the spell and free to try it. He did not repeat the word when asked though, since he never did that. He envisioned the flower in his head, and then intoned coolly, “Orchideous.” A single flower appeared and it looked about half-dead. He made sure that his work was examined before leaving once dismissed. |

It was almost half-way through the first semester, and Bryce Chamberlin was handling things a little better. His workload seemed to have made a balance. He needed a balance for everything, and now it seemed like he had one. It felt better now. Everything seemed to shine a little brighter and the world did not look so dark. He was on his way. Bryce walked into the classroom and once more, he found his seat. The Ravenclaw prefect hoped that he would have a good rest of the year, and he figured that he would have to deal with it, one of these days. He had another workload of homework to handle, yet he was not so stressed out, and that is even with the seer training that he went through every now and again. He was good at this, and he could really become a seer, and be what his father wanted. The lesson started right up, and this week, the students would have to conjure up some flowers. Bryce didn't like the idea of that, but he could give his flowers over to Rosie. Maybe she would like them. He did want to impress his mom and Rosie, so this might just come in handy, now that he thought about it. Bryce smiled at the pleasant thought before turning his attention to reality. It wasn't too much, but it was something. He didn't know what he wanted to conjure though. He got the incantation right, as per his friend told him. Bryce was going to conjure some roses. So, he concentrated with his wand out, and he managed to finally get a little bouquet of roses. He gave them to the professor but left one for Rosie. The color of them were blue, for Ravenclaw. He smiled at her before leaving. |

Tybalt had been looking forward to this semester more than he had been to the other. Last semester for him had been filled with a number of questions and wonderings about what his life might be like come the end of the year, but he was much more calm in this semester and was in fact really looking forward to being able to finish up the year and head into the very final year of his school. This week had proven to be pretty good. He spent a lot of his time studying, unsure about how hard the exams at the end of the year would be and therefore how much to work, while also doing a lot of quidditch practice. It was all in the name of fun, and the teen was definitely loving everything about this year. His conversation with Preston at Halloween had settled in his mind where he stood with B, and now he could just move forward. He was packing his bag and then headed to the classroom. He was ready for the lesson, having been preparing enough before it was time to go to the lesson. This semester he had fewer classes, it was easier to stay on top of all of them. Happily the boy sat down in the transfiguration classroom. he didn't have to wait too long for the professor to turn up and then begin her lesson. The semester so far had been going pretty well. He was looking forward to whatever this lesson might bring, and it quickly turned pretty good. They'd be learning how to make floors. He just thought that would be pretty amazing. He took the tulip from the professor. Tybalt realised that he'd probably have some difficulty with the spell considering that he couldn't see the colour of it, but that wouldn't matter really. he just concentrated on the flower in front of him. He repeated the spell a couple of times before he tapped it three times and said the spell, "Orchideous" he said. He knew what tulips looked like, and his mother being a keen gardener had told them what they looked like, colour wise, so he was able to get it. While the others in the class seemed to all be trying to create various flowers, Ty just continued to conjure up a few more tulips. He wanted to be sure he could conjure single flowers before he tried anything else. with that the lesson was wrapped up and he was allowed to leave. |
