Professor Black walked into the classroom, knowing that she would not have as many students this year as before with those who did not pass the OWL exam and those not continuing on in Transfiguration. She was excited to see those who were going to be moving forward in the subject -- the ones with the most skill and willingness to work. Greeting her students as they entered with a nod, she allowed them a chance to get to their seats, then rose to begin class. "Welcome back! Congratulations on your OWLs being sufficient to continue in our line of study. We will start off the year with a bit of review, then move on to more complicated topics." Walking to the blackboard in the room, she tapped it with her wand. Words quickly appeared on the board.
"This year we will be covering how to conjure items. These could be items that you have vanished, or items that you simply want to have at the moment. For example, I wish to have a desk for each of you to practice vanishing with, so...." With a flick of her wand, she moved the empty desks to the center of the room and with three taps in the air, she conjured up a few more to make the right amount. "For a bit of practice, please choose a desk and make it vanish. We will cover the first conjuring spells next time." Waving her wand at the desks, she spoke again, "Go to work. Any questions, feel free to come on up and ask." Giving one last smile to her students, she allowed them to go to work and returned to her desk and conjured a steaming mug of tea. She kicked back in her chair, cradling the mug in her hands and watched the progress of her students and available for anyone who needed help. Homework: Simply RP the lesson. Just as a heads up, all lessons from this point on will be RP based. We are learning only spells now and it only makes sense to have all hands on lessons. Feel free to ask any questions you may have at any time - either in a lesson or via PM. |

Witty - Loosening Up

Nikandros Matthias was having an awful start of the year. As soon as the prefect meeting started up with him losing house points, and getting hit in the face with a cupcake. It was ridiculous. He hated it. And he did not even have a girlfriend. He was working on getting Alaska, but right now, it seemed to be pretty futile. He was not about to give up on her though. She was a nice person. Well, she was an honorable pure-blood person, and he wanted to get in touch with her. She was someone that he would love to be with. Nikandros would just have to convince her. He thought of these things as he entered the classroom that he had to be in. He looked around as he took a seat, before he wondered what he had to learn today. He could definitely wait before he was loaded down with schoolwork. After everyone arrived to the classroom, Professor Black greeted the classmates with a nod before she welcomed them back. He had passed the OWL with good colors, so he was willing to do the NEWT level just as easily. They were moving on to more complicated subjects. Words wrote on the board, and they were going to be learning on how to conjure items. This would be one interesting subject. Nikandros wondered if they were not going to be practicing with their first conjuring, then what were they going to do? The moment came when they were going to be practicing to make a desk vanish. This would be review from the previous year, and Nikandros knew that he might have been rusty. At least the next lesson, they were going to be conjuring. Standing up, the Gryffindor Prefect approached a desk before he flourished his wand. Using the three tap method and the incantation, the desk vanished. As soon as he heard the dismissal, Nikandros made his way out of the classroom. |

Damon Kyle did not know if he wanted to attend classes this semester but it seemed like he had no choice. With his life being as bad as it was now, Damon just could not bring himself to think that he had a good life anymore. Today was another day, and he wondered what it was life for people to realize that their life could be much better, if only they just thought it through. However, he thought that he was wrong on that. His parents abandoned him, and he had siblings. What more could he really think about when it came down to it? Damon was alone. He forgot that he had a family right now that really did care about him, to some degree. Benjamen treated him like a son. Maybe it was time to get into the traditions of his family. He decided that as he walked into the classroom and found his seat. The professor greeted them with a nod, and welcomed them into the next level of Transfiguration. Damon had passed somehow and he was not hating it. He could not wait until they could really get started in the subject! They were starting off with some review before they were going into the more complicated topics, which he did not mind at all. This year they were going to be working on conjuring, and that alone sounded amazing! However they were not talk about it much since they were going to be vanishing desks today. The professor conjured up some desks before telling them to go vanish them. Damon made his way to a desk before he got out his wand. He cleared his throat and then spoke the spell clearly, and making the desk vanish. But it left behind a leg. He rectified that and then practiced some more. Then they were dismissed. He smiled and he left, proud of the review. |

Sergei Zhefarovich was relieved that he was back into the comforts of the classroom. He was amazed that he was thinking that, but he was one of those that was still surprised to see his brother and sister came into the school and were sorted into something other than Slytherin. Vladimir was a Slytherin but Zinaida was a Hufflepuff. Vladimir was predictable. Zinaida was not. And then there was Vulcan. Sergei wondered why she was sorted into that house. Not thinking much of it, he simply walked into the Transfiguration classroom and he found his seat into the back of the classroom. The back of the classroom was where one would find Sergei at all costs. He hated being anywhere else in the classroom. Once all of the fifth years entered the classroom, it was time to begin the lesson. It was about time since Sergei was starting to lose his patience when it came down to waiting. After the typical greeting, the words of Conjuring spells appeared on the board, which was what he had predicted. His memory was serving him very well. However today they were going to have to endure having to make something vanish. That was lovely, and they had to make a desk vanish. He looked to see that she conjured a few more for everyone, to make sure everyone had at least one to practice on. Next week, they were going to start conjuring. He got out of his chair, and found an empty desk that no one else had chosen. He flourished his wand and he tapped the air three times above it before intoning clearly,"Evanesco." The desk vanished completely. He smirked a bit, and then went back to take his seat. He looked down until they were free to go since he was bored otherwise. |

The first week of lessons are the hardest that Bryce Chamberlin could ever imagine. Why did his dad have to go and die like that? Bryce sighed as he walked into the classroom, and buried his head in his arms as he thought about something that he could have done to save his dad. But there was nothing he could do. Bryce looked into the darkness, as he silently grieved for his father, and wondered if his sisters were going through them the same thing. He let out a sigh, and he forced himself to push this aside, as he looked up. He did not really know when the class would start up, but he made sure to keep his eyes on the professor. He just wanted to get this year over with. He wanted to stop grieving, but he could do nothing more but to continue to grieve. Bryce would find things easier, with time. He looked up as the professor started to speak and started to read her lips. This was getting worse and worse, and there was nothing he could do about it. The words on the board said that they were going to be going over some conjuring spells, that was enough to make his head spin. Conjuring something was not in his forte of things he wanted to master, but what could he do? But for now, he would have to practice the spell to make a desk vanish. He got up and walked over to a desk. He got out his wand and intoned the spell. With a pop, something he didn't hear of course, the desk was gone. He was still good on his spells, so he was not too worried. He gathered his things and left the classroom once dismissal. |

This term, Tybalt had decided would be a lot more interesting than the last one. He was doing a new class in this term, and while it was only a brief small class, he was still very much interested by it. He couldn't wait to do it. This entire week was pretty busy. What with the quidditch match at the weekend, which kept him pretty busy, but knowing that they had to play two games during this semester was why he was looking forward to it. Looking forward to being able to just let lose and play a little bit. The first week back was never that hard, but he was a sixth year, surely there would be some that were a little more difficult than others. However, that being said, Ty was just happy to be back at school, and giving all of these lessons a try. There was no point in not giving it his all, and he'd always done that. Tybalt was not the kind of person who didn't give almost everything his best try. He worked really hard, and that was reflected in his grades. Tybalt smiled to himself as he got ready for the day of lessons which faced him, he hadn't done much work over the holiday but he doubted that he would need to. Tyablt took a seat in the transfiguration classroom. Looking up at the professor as she began her lesson. He'd always enjoyed this class. It was a little bit different, and he just enjoyed it a lot. He liked casting spells. And the first few years had been pretty dull but this was much better. He looked to the front and in this semester they'd be conjuring things, which would be fun. However this first lesson was about making things disappear. They'd be making a desk vanishing. So, the teen with the rest of the class got to his feet and walked over to the desks they'd be vanishing. He pointed his wand at it, and tapped it three times, before saying the spell. The desk vanished. Simple. He was smiling to himself as the lesson was then rounded off, and the class was allowed to leave. He gathered up his things and then left the room. looking forward to when the quidditch practice he'd planned for after lunch. This year would be great. He could just feel it. |
