Charms, All Years | Passionate | Laid Back

[justify]Misha gestured for the seventh years to take their seats as they filed into the Charms classroom. He was quite excited about the lesson he had prepared for them all, and couldn't wait to see what the students would be able to do. "Good Morning, Seventh years!" Misha called, waving his wand at the door so that it shut quietly. "I hope you have all thought about your happiest memory and brought it with you to class today. It was be essential for what we are about to do." With that being said, he briefly looked at each student in turn, hoping they realized how important it was. "If you remember to last week, we discussed the Patronus Charm, and I even demonstrated mine. So today, with your happiest thought, you will be attempting it yourself. Each one of you will no doubt have a different patronus, so it will be interesting to see what form they take."

Misha walked around to the front of his desk, wand still in hand. "Before you all start, I'd like to go over the incantation again. Everybody, say it with my, I want no mistakes with this charm. Say, 'Expecto Patronum'. One more time, 'Expecto Patronum'. Very good, I think everyone's saying it correctly." He said pleasantly, before stating the charm himself and once again conjuring up his patronus, exactly like last lesson. "You won't all get it the first time, but keep trying, and make sure you focus on your happy memory. I expect no less than a silvery coloured wisp. Wands out, and off you go!"

Hufflepuff Graduate ♥ Dolphin Trainer

[justify]Proserpina Laurent was still getting used to the fact that she was going to graduate. She smiled a bit when she entered the charms classroom, thinking that her memory was big enough where she would produce a mist or something when it came down to the charm. She wanted to be able to make an animal but she did not know what animal she would ever make though. She wondered if it would be related to Romaine or her sister. The Hufflepuff prefect took her seat in the charms classroom, and she looked at the others to see what they were thinking, and if they were as nervous as she was. She hoped that she was going to be able to cast the charm successfully, even just a small bit of mist would be nice. She had plenty of good memories to use anyway. She had several to think about, and she would have to utilize every single one of them to see which would conjure that patronus that she wanted.

The professor started to speak and Proserpina looked up with her brown eyes. She thought of her memories once more before she figured that she was going to end up doing something with the charm. She practiced saying the word with the class and she figured that she was ready to try it, and relieved when she heard that they were not going to get it the first time. She flourished her wand and she tried to think of when she first flew a broomstick, "Expecto Patronum!" There was nothing. She sighed. Proserpina thought of when she got to see her father married and happy. She intoned the spell once more, and a tiny put of silver came out. Again and again, she tried, but when she used the memory of when she saw her sister happy and living her dream, it seemed to make the silver mist appear even more than before. She thought that she saw a little bit of an animal but she couldn't tell. She packed her things and left when it was time.

Troxa Matthias

The Protector, Russian Ministry Official, Father

[justify]It was the final week of classes and the NEWTs had Troxa Matthias in a bind. He only had a few so he did not know why he was like that. Graduation was upon him and he could only invite two guests. If he could, he would have invited all of his family so that they could have joined but no, there was only to be two. That kind of blew but he could not do anything about it. Walking into the Charms classroom, the Slytherin Head Boy no longer worried about graduation found his seat and he settled into it. Today the Seventh years may be working on the Patronus charm and he had found the perfect memory. There were several but he wanted to try them all and see if he could manage the spell. He hoped so, just because he wanted to make Auden proud of him, and his father and siblings as well.

Typically, as usual, Professor Haden greeted the class with a warm smile and Troxa greeted the man with a nod of his own head. He recalled some of his happiest memories and hoped that one would have done the trick when it came to performing the spell. So now they were free to attempt the spell themselves. Before they could, they had to go over the incantation. That much he had done, so that he knew how to pronounce it. Finally they were free to try it themselves. He thought of his memory of getting Auden to trust him first, but it was not strong enough. Then, he thought of the birth of Victoria, which did something much stronger. All he had to do was to have it fill him up. By the end of class, his patronus had taken the form of a hyena. He left the class feeling mighty proud of himself.

On his way to his last Charms class, Minoas was trying to gather in his head some happy memories in order to cast successfully today's patronus charm. He wasn't sure if what he had dragged out of his memory's depths was good enough to grant him a full, corporeal patronus but he was soon to find out. When he arrived at the classroom, he saw only impatient faces waiting for the professor to begin. Who couldn't like the patronus charm? His family along with many others, were considering their patronus (or deamon as they were calling it) as an extension of themselves. Plus, you got to do a few cool things with this charm like repelling creatures such dementors and lethifolds but also use your patronus in so many other ways like sending a message to someone else. He quickly had a seat and added himself in the group of eager faces.

Minoas listened carefully to what their Charms professor had to say. The young man had performed flawless patronus during last class and the Gryffindor hoped he was going to do the same pretty soon. When instructed to start practicing, Minoas took his wand and aimed in the air. He thought of the first time he got on a broom. He loved the sense of freedom when he was on a broom.
"Expecto Patronum." he spoke and just the tip of his olive wand glowed silver for an instance before fading out. He tried a couple more time with that memory before deciding it wasn't a good one. He frowned as he went back to a few unique moments in his life. Christmas Eve. All the family gathered around a full table, Snow falling from an enchanted ceiling. House elves singing the carols off key. Smiles and embraces while gifts were exchanged. He tried again, more determined and full of this memory. "Expecto Patronum!" a burst of vapor surprised him as it shot out of his wand's tip. He lost his focus pretty quick enough for the vapor to cease flowing. Yes, this memory worked but only for a non-corporeal patronus, He wanted to see a fully-formed taking shape today.

His free hand stroked his jaw, his stubble rough against his fingers. What was his happiest memory? When he felt uniquely, that this moment was just enough for him and he was a happy man if he was going right after? Two moments came in his mind. The moments he was spending alone with his girlfriend. They were the moments when everything else seemed insignificant, while she was in his arms. There was another memory though that he was tempted to use instead. It had defined his life so much, it had gave him a cause. It was simultaneously both a happy memory but also a bad one and that was making it special. The day his father was kidnapped was a day he was going to remember for ever. But it wasn't only an unpleasant one. Before the incident, they had shared a very unique moment, a custom between fathers and sons in his family for ages. Minoas was introduced that day to his first winged horse and had to chance to fly for the first time on that creature along with his father. It was a moment bringing in his soul warmth and comfort. A moment he wanted to live again.

He believed in that moment and so he pointed his wand for one last time. "Expecto Patronum!" he uttered with his heart beating back to that memory. Right after, Minoas witnessed the silver vapor shooting out of his wand taking the shape of a graceful winged horse launching itself amongst the silver forms of other students' patronuses. It neighed, shaking its glowing mane and stretching its silver wings to fly across the room. Minoas watched emotionally moved as hot tears watered his eyes but never let them roll. He had the feeling if he hadn't chosen this moment, his patronus might have another form, that of a bird like it was happening with most members of his family. The winged horse landed before him and reared excited, showering him with pure light. Then it vanished leaving only a cloud of silver mist behind it that dissolved as well into nothingness. The warmth was gone and he instantly wanted to summon his patronus once more but he heard the professor dismissing the class. He left the classroom in search of an empty room. He found one close to the north tower where he spent the rest of his time alone. Alone with his patronus.
