This was surely to be one of the two most exciting lessons any person would ever be able to teach. It was one of the most advanced spells that existed and not every person actually ended up managing it. But if they could that was great. Misha loved learning, and then teaching about the patronus charm. It was why, he was very excitedly perched on his desk, with the usual cup of tea, as the seventh years made their way into the room. "Morning Seventh Years!" Misha greeted with his usual bright smile. He realised that this would be the second last time he would teach them, and while maybe it could be an almost sentimental thing, for him, it wasn't. He had only known these students less than a year. No connection. Despite this, he still smiled fondly at these older students. "Today's lesson will be brief, but I assure you, it is worth it." Misha looked at his students. He flicked his wand and the room darkened. Little light shone in, but there was just enough to still be able to see. "What do you do when you're confronted with the darkest of the dark?" Misha asked the class, letting the question hang in the air. He flicked his wand again, and it lit up, Lumos, a simple spell that helped light up the room. "What if Lumos is simply not enough? Many unlucky individuals have suffocated at the hand of the Lethifold. Others have suffered the Dementor's Kiss. All because they did not know how to protect themselves against the darkest of dark." Misha gave his students a little grin, "While this may be beginning to sound oddly like a Defense Against the Dark Arts lesson, I can assure, what I'm about to show you, is a charm." Misha flicked his wand, and the light on it went out, he flicked it again, and the class fell ever darker. He was pretty excited, but managed to calm himself, to be able to speak the charm clearly, "Expecto Patronum" All of a sudden a stream of silvery blue light flowed out his wand, within seconds materializing itself into the shape of an osprey, a large bird, with a wing span that seemed like it would've been bigger in a larger room. The patronus flew in the air, almost gliding through the air. Circling the students several times before disappearing, and plunging the room that had been solely lit by Misha's patronus once again went dark. With a flick of his wand, the usual light reentered the room. He was smiling at his students. "The Patronus Charm will repel Dementors and Lethifolds alike. It will take you all a great while to get the hang of it and may take even longer for it to get a shape, but I assure you, this charm is one that you should be happy to have in your arsenal. This charm is very much happiness in essence. With that in mind, your homework for next week is to think of a memory that makes you happy. Like so happy that if it were real it could light up a dark room." RP the lesson. |

So far Charms classes were the most enjoyable for Minoas Stratis. The spells they were practicing were advanced, a challenge that the Gryffindor really yearned for, but were also charms he could utilize in real life after the end of his studies at Hogwarts. Minoas had been looking forward for this day for a long time. He had been always reading ahead of the class's schedule, just for Charms in particularly and therefore he knew beforehand what they were going to talk about each time he was returning for another lesson. Hungry to learn more about today's subject and curious about Professor Haden's demonstration of the charm, he was early at the amphitheatric room, sitting close to the professor's desk. The class soon began with a rhetoric question, making the lesson already intriguing. The Patronus Charm had captivated Minoas' attention long ago. He had actually tried to perform it but with no luck. It demanded certain concentration he hadn't really came across before. This spell was so unique. Back at Minoas' homeland, wizards and witches weren't really calling it a Patronus but a Daemon, believing it wasn't really produced by the wizard or witch but instead it always existed within each person as a benevolent or benign spirit that is materialized through magic into an animal form. Holding his wand, Minoas crossed his arms against his chest and sat back comfortably as the professor let darkness spread around the room. Minoas watched starry-eyed the Daemon of Professor Haden taking the form of an osprey, flying above the class with its pure, silver light showering them. He was ready to start practicing. He really wanted to see his own Daemon/ Patronus but the professor told them they weren't just ready yet. They needed a really happy memory to trigger this beautiful result, something they had to find out until next class. Minoas left the room while going back to his memories. For some reason, the more coming in his head were bad ones he wanted to forget. |

The fifth week of lessons, that was just unbelievable for the Hufflepuff prefect. This meant that she would be graduating soon, and then she could be the Auror she always wanted to be. She let out a weary sigh as she entered the Charms classroom once more, knowing that this would be one of the last times that she will get to be able to be in here anymore. She found her seat and she started to mess with her blonde hair, debating on either or not she wanted to keep it blonde or dye it dark. She looked good with dark hair and thought that she could change her look up one day. She looked up at the professor before she felt somewhat sad that she would never see them again. It would be too awkward to see them after she graduated. She did not know what she was going to do, but she knew her career. The day’s lesson would be brief? Proserpina hoped that it would be worth it. And then she knew what today would be. It would be the introduction or something to the Patronus Charm! She almost squeaked with delight but managed to keep it together. She feared that she would fail at this, but she doubted it as well. She loved charms, and then she was reminded a bit of Defence Against the Dark Arts. The professor demonstrated and it looked like a large bird. It was absolutely beautiful. Now, all they had to do was think of a powerful, happy memory. She would do that. She gathered her things together and left the classroom for the week. |

It was the fifth week of lessons, and Troxa Matthias knew what he was going to do. Nothing could stop him from preparing more for raising his child. Nothing at all could stop him from being the father that he always wanted to be, albeit a bit further into the future. The future was everything to the seventh year Slytherin who managed to become Prefect and Head Boy to his amazement. Troxa let out a sigh as he entered the Charms classroom and found his seat. Looking down at his hands, he waited for the other seventh years to enter and have their seats. His amber eyes looked up at the professor and wondered what they were going to be doing today. It had to be something useful since it was the NEWT year. The NEWTs meant so much, but compared to being a parent, it meant so little. The professor greeted the seventh years brightly, and he could not help but cringe a bit at it. It was somewhat scary to see someone as happy as he was. He shook his head and he continued to wonder what the lesson would be over today. Today, they were going to be going over the lesson that sounded a bit like Defence Against the Dark Arts, but then he realized what it was once the Lethifold was revealed. They were going to be going over the Patronus charm! He thought that was exciting, and he wanted to know more about it. He saw the professor’s patronus and was impressed by the large animal it was, and wondered what his would take the shape of. The homework for this week was to think of a memory that was happy and powerful. He did not have many of them, but he could try. He gathered his things and left the classroom. |
